For the past 10 years, DPRK has built a number of modern healthcare facilities conducive to protecting people’s lives and promoting their health.

A hospital village encompassing Okryu Children’s Hospital, Ryugyong Dental Hospital and Ryugyong General Ophthalmic Hospital appeared in the Munsu area of the country’s capital city of Pyongyang whereas modern Samjiyon City Hospital was built at the foot of Mt Paektu. They are now giving full play to their vitality in practice.

In addition, pharmaceutical factories, medical supplies factories, specialized disease prevention facilities and standard pharmacies mushroomed in different parts of the country.
