Kim Jong Un looked round the new street in the Hwasong area. The newly-built Hwasong area looks so beautiful for its majestic appearance of large architectural group embodying the advanced civilization and, more importantly, as it is associated with the genuine happiness and bright images of the people, he said, adding that today is a very significant day in the time-honored history of Pyongyang, the capital city.
Stressing that it is our Party's faith, absolute outlook on the people and thoroughgoing spirit of serving them to provide them with anything they want and everything for them under any circumstances, Kim Jong Un said that our Party will make strenuous efforts without a moment's stagnation and deviation to bring earlier the future in which our people will enjoy a civilized and affluent life to their heart's content.

Such wonderful department store has been built in the city of Pyongyang, but there is no similar one in the regions. There should be no difference in the living standard between the Pyongyang citizens and the people in regions.

The North American Executive Committee of the DPRK ISG held its first two events of the year to commemorate the Day of the Shining Star and commemorate the life and heroic contribution to mankind made by Respected Eternal General Secretary Kim Jong Il. Additionally, the events screened the film about the Kursk liberation by the heroic Korean People’s Army. The two events were held in New Jersey and Florida with the participation of many comrades including members of the American Communist Party (ACP).

Admin’s note: We notice since some months a deep respect for Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in DPRK medias. This is very recent, only 2 years ago, most anecdotes present in Voice of Korea were about Dear Leader Kim Jong Il and President Kim Il Sung.
The reason seems to be the economic progress of the country and new political lines under him.

Naenara Strategy for Readjustment and Reinforcement Being Implemented
The Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea set forth an economic strategy designed to achieve the comprehensive development of the state by putting the overall national economy on an upward track.
This economic strategy whose gist is readjustment and reinforcement was an original one that helps the national economy maintain its socialist character and independence and turn to a new stage of growth.
The DPRK has strenuously pushed ahead with the expansion of capacity, reconstruction of lines and modernization in accordance with the new five-year plan for national economic development advanced by the Eighth Congress of the WPK.
Projects were launched to expand the production capacity of the overall national economy in a far-sighted way and renovate the outdated and backward lines on a modern basis.
Priority was given to the metallurgical industry to boost the capacity of iron production, while efforts were made to transform the structure of the chemical industry into a Juche-based industry relying on domestic raw materials.
Besides, other projects aimed at attaining sustainable production growth in the key industrial sectors made headway. They included the work to turn the machine-building industry into the one with reliable foundations and into a development- and creation-oriented industry, the work to lay a solid foundation for entering the next stage of development by completing the power bases under construction as early as possible and stabilizing power production by making the most of the existing generating capacities in the power industry sector, and the work to consolidate the material and technical foundations of the coal-mining industry.
As a result, new iron production lines were built at the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex and the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, an advanced Korean-style melamine resin production line was inaugurated in the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex, and the second-stage renovation and modernization project was completed at the Kumsong Tractor Factory. And many other similar successes have been made in the efforts to implement the Party’s economic strategy, thus setting the national economy on an upward track.

Naenara:Animal Population Grows in Central Zoo
The animal population in the Central Zoo located on the foot of Mt Taesong in the capital city of Pyongyang keeps increasing to add more to the joy of visitors.
So far this year, five species of animals have produced more than ten babies.
West Siberian Laika, a hound, produced two puppies.
A spitz breed of pet dog also gave birth to three babies. Their average weight was about 120g at birth, but now they have gained weight a lot.
A baby was born to the family of Hamadryas baboons, that have been living in the zoo for decades.
The little monkey is climbing up and down the tree branches and sometimes clings to its mother’s bosom, just keeping blinking its eyes as if it fears something.
The Asian black bear also produced a baby.
The zoo focuses on the living environment, nutrition management and anti-epizootic work for animals so as to increase their breeding.
