KCNA:Modern Houses Built in S. Hwanghae Province of DPRK
Modern houses have appeared at the Churung Farm in Samchon County and the Sinhwanpho Farm in Jaeryong County, South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK.
Those dwellings, built as a proud entity of the Korean-style rural development, have living rooms, kitchens, washrooms and other living conditions for the convenience of agricultural workers. And trees of good species were planted around the houses to add scenery to the villages.

KCNA:Designing Forces Strengthened in North Hamgyong Province
North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK strives to strengthen the designing forces of cities and counties, according to Minju Joson.
The province is ensuring the strengthened ties with relevant units so that cities and counties can assign university graduates in the field of architectural design and those with designing ability or aptitudes to the right place.
It has also made the designers visit the modern houses in the Hwasong area of Pyongyang and at the fishing village in Ragwon County to broaden their vision.
And it is helping the designers make field survey at the places where rural dwellings will be built this year and complete their designs on the principle of satisfying the agricultural workers' needs for living and promoting their convenience.

National-level hospitals in the DPRK are steadily improving medical service by applying advanced diagnostic and therapeutic methods to clinical practice in keeping with the trend of modern medical development.
The Kim Man Yu Hospital has directed efforts to establishing advanced treatment methods such as an endoscope operation method of traumatic intracephalic hematoma and a method of treating reflux gastritis with acupuncture and cupping therapy.
The Pyongyang University of Medicine Hospital established a method of treating acute upper digestive tract hemorrhage and acute pancreatitis and a standard of digitalized prognostic evaluation for the first time in the country.
The Ryugyong General Ophthalmic Hospital introduced advanced treatment methods to restore the eyesight of many patients and has conducted scientific researches to put the ophthalmic technology on a high level.
Medical workers at the Okryu Children's Hospital regularly visit Pyongyang Baby Home, Pyongyang Orphanage, Pyongyang Primary School for Orphans, Pyongyang Middle School for Orphans and major industrial establishments to conduct medical checkups.
The Pyongyang Maternity Hospital has applied effective treatment methods appropriate to the physical constitutions and conditions of patients at the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex.
Health workers of the Ryugyong Dental Hospital and the General Dental Hospital under the Ministry of Public Health conduct field medical service in South Hwanghae Province and farms in other rural areas. And they transfer the latest medical science and technology and experience to medical workers in the relevant regions.

The employees of our factory which was built thanks to the benevolence of the Party hold a debate on novel ideas at recess every day.
Moreover the debate became more brisk now that the residents’ demand for the men’s padded clothes produced at our factory is increasing day after day since those were highly appreciated at the light industrial goods exhibition, held last year.
Great is their enthusiasm for debate on the issues ranging from the design to cutting in order to make clothes as nice as those of the capital in terms of shape, style and quality.
Looking at their exciting faces, I keenly realize that thanks to the benevolence of the Workers’ Party of Korea our county seethes with regional transformation and makes vigorous step forward towards the brighter future to be envied by the capital city.
Whenever I watch the residents rejoice over various garments of a local brand, I feel a great sense of pride of serving the people.
I will, in the future too, strive to live as a genuine servant of people who devotes all to producing more nice garments favoured by the people true to the Party’s regional development policy.

Not long ago, all of our work-team members received new dwelling houses on the same day.
From then on, they are busy calling their relatives and friends to boast of their new houses after work every evening.
Some of them are already vying with each other to take good care of the new houses provided by the country and reap bumper crops without without fail this year, too.
The servicemen’s families send letters about the new houses and photos of face-lifted home village to their children.
Such a satisfactory scene is to be found in any house of the farm.
It is really unbelievable that ordinary farmers received wonderful houses with a fitted kitchen, a bathroom, several living rooms, a storehouse and the like totally free of charge.
The new atmosphere prevalent in our work-team reminds us of the warm love of the motherly Party and makes us harden our will to do more work in favour of the benevolent country.
I will work by the sweat of my brows this year, too, in order to repay the great loving care of our Party with high yields.

Rodong Sinmun:Kyongam Wood Processing Factory Inaugurated in DPRK
North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK built the Kyongam Wood Processing Factory in Sariwon City.
This modern wood processing base with equipment necessary for the production of various kinds of fixtures and furniture provides a foundation for improving the people’s material and cultural life and pushing ahead with regional and rural construction.
Present at the inauguration ceremony held on the spot on January ２６ were officials of the province and the city, working people and employees of the factory.
At the ceremony, a speaker called upon the officials and employees of the factory to manage the production buildings and equipment well and conduct the technological innovation work in a purposeful way, with the awareness that they are masters of the workplace, and thus improve the quality of products and increase their output.
At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the factory.

KFA Germany: The Kangdong Complex Greenhouse Farm was inaugurated in March 2024 and covers a site area of over 260 hectares, with a total building area of approximately 1.2 million square meters.
Located in the suburbs of the capital city of Pyongyang, it features hundreds of greenhouse buildings, including cylindrical greenhouses, hemispherical hydroponic greenhouses, and interconnected glass-roofed hydroponic greenhouses, as well as public buildings and multi-story residential and terraced housing for more than 1,200 households.
Vegetables of various types from this farm contribute to improving the nutrition of Pyongyang's residents.
