The field of coal industry is expanding successes in the production.
The Pukchang Area Youth Coal-Mining Complex has applied the tunnelling method suited to the face conditions and raised the working ratio of the transport equipment, overfulfilling its production plan every day.
The Sunchon Area Youth Coal-Mining Complex is carrying out its plan without fail while bringing compressors, winches and other equipment closer to the faces, increasing the number of blasting per shift and actively providing other conditions in favour of production.
The Anju, Kaechon and Tukjang area coal-mining complexes are also bringing about an upsurge in the production by giving definite precedence to the driving of main drift and narrowing and ensuring prompt transportation.

Modern houses have appeared at the Churung Farm in Samchon County and the Sinhwanpho Farm in Jaeryong County, South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK.
Those dwellings, built as a proud entity of the Korean-style rural development, have living rooms, kitchens, washrooms and other living conditions for the convenience of agricultural workers. And trees of good species were planted around the houses to add scenery to the villages.

North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK strives to strengthen the designing forces of cities and counties, according to Minju Joson.
The province is ensuring the strengthened ties with relevant units so that cities and counties can assign university graduates in the field of architectural design and those with designing ability or aptitudes to the right place.

The Pyongyang University of Medicine Hospital established a method of treating acute upper digestive tract hemorrhage and acute pancreatitis and a standard of digitalized prognostic evaluation for the first time in the country.
The Ryugyong General Ophthalmic Hospital introduced advanced treatment methods to restore the eyesight of many patients and has conducted scientific researches to put the ophthalmic technology on a high level.

Great is their enthusiasm for debate on the issues ranging from the design to cutting in order to make clothes as nice as those of the capital in terms of shape, style and quality.
Looking at their exciting faces, I keenly realize that thanks to the benevolence of the Workers’ Party of Korea our county seethes with regional transformation and makes vigorous step forward towards the brighter future to be envied by the capital city.
Whenever I watch the residents rejoice over various garments of a local brand, I feel a great sense of pride of serving the people.

The servicemen’s families send letters about the new houses and photos of face-lifted home village to their children.
Such a satisfactory scene is to be found in any house of the farm.
It is really unbelievable that ordinary farmers received wonderful houses with a fitted kitchen, a bathroom, several living rooms, a storehouse and the like totally free of charge.
The new atmosphere prevalent in our work-team reminds us of the warm love of the motherly Party and makes us harden our will to do more work in favour of the benevolent country.
I will work by the sweat of my brows this year, too, in order to repay the great loving care of our Party with high yields.
