Modern rural dwellings are springing up one after another in Kangwon Province of the DPRK amid the everyday news reports of house-moving ceremonies in the villages across the country.
The cozy dwellings, built at Hyonri and Sinphyong stockbreeding farms in Sepho County and Osongsan and Choso farms in Kimhwa County in harmony with the charming features of mountain villages, are a proud fruition of the energetic leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea which set the housing construction as the primary major policy task and is pushing ahead with the project

Workers of the Hyesan Cement Factory completed the readjustment and repair of such equipment as large crushers in a short span of time to lay the foundation for carrying out the new year's production plan.
The Hyesan Forestry Machine Factory finished the overhauling of medium frequency induction furnace to ensure the normal operation of equipment.
The workers of the Kyongsong Electric Appliances Factory and the Ranam Coal Mining Machine Factory have increased productivity by operating equipment and machines according to standard methods and technical regulations.
The employees of the Ponghak Foodstuff Factory and the Phyongsong Bag Factory are stepping up the technical upgrading of equipment with the viewpoint that the technical performance of machinery and equipment guarantees the quality of products.
Similar movement is brisk at the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill, the Songyo Knitwear Factory, the Phyongsong Elastic Factory and other industrial establishments across the country.

The Pyongyang Pharmaceutical Factory presented dozens of kinds of officinal medicines conducive to the promotion of the people's health to the national exhibition of sci-tech achievements in the field of public health-2025.
Some of its medicine production lines had already been awarded GMP authentication and recently its clysis production line has been put on a GMP basis.
The factory has such high-tech equipment as vacuum concentrator, rotary high-speed tablet machine, automatic capsule filling machine and high-speed mixer. It also put such production lines as automated packing lines with tablet counting and liquid medicine-measuring processes and their surroundings on a high level.
Various kinds of medicines are being produced at the sites where the production lines have been put on a germ-free and dust-free basis. The factory is supplying its products to many hospitals and pharmacies, contributing to the promotion of the people's health
