One day in August 2020, Kim Jong Un visited the area of Taechong-ri, Unpha County of North Hwanghae Province hit by flood.
At that time, hundreds of hectares of paddy fields and hundreds of dwellings had been inundated in the area due to days of rain and downpour.
Learning about the damage that day, Kim Jong Un said it was fortunate that there was no loss of life and that we should provide all basic necessities to the victims and that the dwelling houses should be designed well, reflecting the farmers’s wills, built in the forms they like that should be examined by farmers, not officials.

The factory was built according to a plan of Kim Jong Un who is concerned about the people's diet.
He visited the factory several times and named it like that. Saying it is for the first time that we are building such a factory which cannot be found in any other country of the world, he taught the ways to build it into a model factory for processing seafood.
In August 2018, he highly praised the officials and employees for having time and again for having worked devotedly while overcoming the bottlenecks and difficulties in the spirit of self-reliance and with the might of science and technology.

In December, 2025, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the regional-industry factories in Sinyang County which were near completion.
Going the rounds of the factories, the respected General Secretary pointed out that the foodstuff factory there were producing wheat soy and paste and confectionery as the fixed indices like its counterparts in other cities and counties.
Then he taught that the production indices had to be varied according to the regional characteristics and economic potentials.
Various processed wheat products could be made and seaside cities and counties could produce finished marine products like processed kelp, he continued.
He took for instance the Jangyon County Foodstuff Factory which was producing beer with the barley cultivated in the county and emphasized that the regional-industry factories should increase the varieties of products in such a way.
The officials of the county who were accompanying him as well as the masters of the factory fell deep in thought.
They reproached themselves for failing to endeavour to increase the kinds of special products figurative of their own region, thinking that they could readily satisfy the residents’ demands only by sufficiently fulfilling the plans for the already-fixed production indices.

That day, after estimating the fragrance of soap of different colours, the respected General Secretary praised that the mint-scented soap smelled nice and they perfumed the soap appropriately.
Then he referred to producing soap with nice fragrance in a larger amount.
The officials were wrapped in excitement.
Whenever he visited the newly-built regional-industry factories, he personally tried every condiment and appreciated the colours and scents of the products.
He always taught that everything to be used by the people must be the highest in quality.
Tiny as the amount of perfume added to a bar of soap was, it was associated with the great fatherly care of the respected General Secretary who pays deep attention to even a single piece of consumer goods to be supplied to the local residents.
