KCNA:Farm Machine Institute Inaugurated in DPRK

The Farm Machine Institute has been successfully built as the central base for leading the comprehensive mechanization of agriculture.

The institute has different facilities, experimental apparatuses and equipment necessary for the research into the farm machines, their trial production, technical exchange and exhibition of products as well as the researchers' living. It is a comprehensive and multi-functional base for putting on an integrated basis the scientific research, the training of talent reserves and the scientific and technological guidance over production in the field of farm machinery.

An inauguration ceremony of the institute took place on January 23.
Present there were Ri Chol Man, vice-premier of the Cabinet and chairman of the Agricultural Commission, officials concerned and those of relevant units, working people and employees of the institute.
Ri Chol Man made an address.

The speaker stressed the need for the researchers of the institute to kindle the flames of revolution in the field of farm machinery this year greeting the glorious Party Congress and thus fulfill their responsibility and duty as the advancing group for realizing the programme for the rural revolution in the new era.

(1/2) As Long As I Can Bring Up Pupils Well

Several years have passed since I graduated from the university under the benevolence of the Party and became a teacher.

In those days I often felt tired and became effeminate ( Admin’s note: I believe it is a mistranslation, it is more "felt stereotypically female") for doing the assigned teaching work as a housewife.

Every time, I recalled the unforgettable story given by my class teacher during senior middle school.

It was the day when I was honoured to receive Kim Il Sung Children Honour Prize, the greatest honour to Korean children.

When I rushed up to the teacher with the badge of Kim Il Sung Children Honour Prize on my chest, I suddenly realized that my teacher who brought up so many excellent pupils hadn’t got any badges on her chest.
So I asked the teacher why she hadn’t got any.

The teacher said with a smile on her face that she had nothing to desire as long as pupils grow up to be excellent ones.

Scores of years have passed since then.

However my class teacher’s words that day still remain engraved in my heart and serve as a mirror reflecting my conscience and my view of life up till now.

Today lots of teachers of our university, possessed of such view of life, are covering the road of patriotism.

To feel pride in and honour of bringing up students well, keeping the honour of culturing the future of the country - this is just the attitude of a professional revolutionary.

Even if I neither win any honour nor be commended on this road, I have nothing more to wish for if I can only bring up pupils well.

Nothing is more proud and worthwhile for an educator than to bring up students to be genuine patriots who will do their share for the country and firm cornerstone of the country. For me, this is true patriotism.

With such mindset, I always make exact demands on myself.
I will fulfil my mission and duty as a teacher revolutionary for the sound growth of pupils and rosier future of the country to be prosperous.

(2/2) With Mindset of Standing in Starting Point

A few years ago, I was diagnosed as an incurable disease.

At that time, I was driven to despair.

What afflicted me more was that I became unable to repay the love and benevolence of the Party.

Actually I have no idea of what my parents look like.

However, I grew up happily without feeling sad for being parentless, being provided with new school uniforms, school things and gifts of love
according to the season just as others under the care of the Party.

There were also lots of benevolent people who came to see me, willing to become my parents.

I was extremely grateful to our socialist system. So as I grew older, I made up my mind to devote all myself to the workplace the Party attaches greatest importance to.

After leaving the middle school, I volunteered to work at the socialist countryside and worked there for 10-odd years.

I agonized much over the fact that I was bedridden in the full flush of my working age.

I told myself I cannot give up and have to cover the road of repayment.

I devoted all my pure sincerity to the work for the country including strengthening the national defense capacities and assisting the army and the grand construction sites.

Sometimes I felt like yielding to difficulties. But, I braced myself up with the mindset of standing in a starting point.

If I hadn’t such consciousness, I would have given up covering the road of patriotism hundreds of times.

Now my children, too, have embarked on this road.
I am wont to tell my children that they can keep to the path of patriotism to the last only when they deeply cherish the zeal for repayment with the mindset of standing in a starting point.

Rodong Sinmun:Young People in Capital City Volunteer to Work at Main Theatres of Socilaist Construction

Tens of young people in the capital city of Pyongyang have volunteered to work at major worksites.

This fact shows the noble spirit of the young people in our times who are upholding the Party’s plan and intention with pure conscience and practice.

A youth league member in Songyo District decided to work at the Migok Farm in Sariwon City.

The counterparts in Taedonggang and Ryongsong distrcts and others volunteered to work at the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex.

Others in Mangyongdae, Tongdaewon, Hyongjesan, Ryokpho, Sunan, Pothonggang, Sadong, Hwasong districts and Kangnam County went to the construction brigades, road administration stations, water supply and drainage management stations, etc.

A congratulatory meeting was held on January 22 with the attendance of the officials in the relevant sectors and the youth league and youth and students.

KCNaEver-Improving Education in DPRK

Today is International Day of Education.

The DPRK regards education as the first state priority that deserves the greatest effort at any time and stage and as the most responsible and important affair that requires steady progress.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un set forth the general goal of education - developing education to the extent that it can be entrusted with guaranteeing the future of the country - and indicated the tasks and ways for Juche-oriented education in his such works as "Let Us Make Ours a Country of Education and a Talent Power by Bringing about a Radical Improvement in Education in the New Century".

During his visit to Pyongyang University of Architecture, he bestowed honour upon it, saying that he would become the honorary president of the university. When he visited Kim Chaek University of Technology on its 70th founding anniversary, he said the university is the one in which the Workers' Party of Korea reposes its deepest trust and takes pride and prioritizes.

At the flood-hit areas of Uiju County, North Phyongan Province in August 2024, he said that the issue of nursing and educating children and students is the first state affair never to be set aside no matter what, and took important measures to this end. So an emergency system was activated to bring all the children and students in the flood-hit areas to Pyongyang to be nursed and educated in a safe and convenient environment at the state expense.

The important meetings of the Party and the state discussed the issue of education as an important agenda item and took measures for its implementation, thus providing a guarantee for putting the country's education on a higher stage.

Last year, an integrated school, composed of a kindergarten, a primary school, junior and senior middle schools, was inaugurated in Rangnang District, Pyongyang. New schools were built in different parts of the country and the tele-education system has been dynamically operated to make all the people well versed in science and technology.

Against this backdrop, the overall educational work is improving and many talents have been trained to add glory to the country at the International Math Olympiad, the World Memory Championships, etc.

These successes in the field of education are brilliant fruition of the Workers' Party Korea's ideas and leadership of attaching importance to education.

Voice of Korea : Innovations made at different units of national economy

The Sunchon Cement Complex is bringing about an upsurge in the production.

Extremely high is the morale of its officials and workers to greet the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea with proud labour achievements. One thousand and hundreds of tons of cement have been produced more than planned and a progress is made in optimizing the products in the new year.

On the other hand, workers of the Chonnae Area Coal-Mining Complex are carrying out their daily coal production plan without fail to glorify the Ninth Party Congress as a glorious congress of victors.

Admin’s note: Interesting to see WKP using the term "congress of winners" to describe the upcoming congress, as it is the exact same term than the one for the 17th Congress of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks), the congress that is regarded as the success of industrialization and collectivization in Soviet Union.

We can imagine easily that the ninth party congress will overall sign a victory of state and co-operative elements of the economy against foreign interferences and black market.
