KCNA:Plate Glass Production Goes up in DPRK
The Taean Friendship Glass Factory in the DPRK has fulfilled the daily plate glass production plan at 105 percent.
While ensuring the normal operation of equipment by establishing a well-regulated checking and repairing system, the factory puts efforts into technical innovation to raise productivity and guarantee the quality of products in every process.
The production control room makes sure that every process-specific facilities are operated according to the standard method, while taking appropriate measures for all circumstances.
The hydrogen and nitrogen workshop and the plate glass workshop have strictly repaired equipment in advance and introduced inventions into the operation of equipment, thus boosting daily production.
The raw materials workshop is supplying raw materials necessary for producing glass by mixing sodium carbonate and feldspar in a scientific way. The Phyongsong Marble Branch Mine and the Hwangju Dolomite Branch Mine have increased the amount of mining per unit time to ensure the increased production

58 years ago today on the 23rd of January 1968 ,the navy of the Korean People's Army successfully captured the US armed spy ship the "USS Pueblo " .
The Pueblo was captured on January 23, Juche 57 (1968) while spying on military and state secrets of the DPRK after intruding into its territorial waters in the East Sea of Korea up to 7.6 miles from Ryo Islet near Wonsan at latitude 39 degrees 17.4 minutes north and longitude 127 degrees 46.9 minutes east, The Pueblo was boarded by sailors of the navy of the Korean People's Army who captured 80 US spies, with one of them was killed.
The "USS Pueblo " to this very day remains in the DPRK moored on the River Potong outside the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum .
