In 1979, under the slogan of the Islamic revolution, a popular uprising took place in Iran which overthrew the empire and declared the establishment of an Islamic republic. In those days, in Iran, there were numerous soldiers of the Emperor’s army, as well as the US army, which was several thousand strong. But when the masses rose up, the Emperor could do nothing and simply fled to a foreign country. A few days ago I met the Iranian Minister of Post, Telecommunications and Telephone, who was visiting our country. He explained the telecommunications facilities he had brought as a gift for me and said that he had respected President Kim Il Sung while studying the Juche idea since his university days.

Thursday in an article, Rodong Sinmun says that the countless new edifices being built in different parts of the country every day are the precious fruition of the noble intention and will of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea to accomplish the great cause of promoting the people’s wellbeing faster and better.

A meeting was held in the city of Hamhung on the 22nd to declare a socialist emulation between the Ragwon County Offshore Farm and the Sinpho City Offshore Farm for revitalizing the shallow-sea culture.
