Admin’s note : Contrary to what people believe, it is extremely recent that DPRK medias report economic progress for two reasons : (1) most five-year plans were interrupted by natural disasters, sanctions, etc. (2) Leader Kim Jong Il ordered after 1996, confidentiality regarding economic statistics.
When we see all of these news since recent months, we can conclude three things :
(1) the 20x10 policy is succeeding, we are indeed in a "year of great change" to paraphrase Stalin about 1929. Public infrastructures are being rebuilt, industries are delivering even more goods, housing policy is improving, this is a whole new period that comes with WKP post-2019 left turn when the party, understanding the intentions of southern puppet regime to subdue DPRK (and also Chinese hypocrisy) decided to industrialize by its own forces.
(2) More and more emphasis are coming on the person of Respect Comrade Kim Jong Un, what western propagandists call "personality cult", while WKP calls it "monolithic guidance by the leader". We can deduce that Kim Jong Un has now his own theories (a come-back on Marxism-Leninism and communism, the synthesis of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, the policy of balancing economic and military developments) and his own successes (the latest five-year plan) to justify his popularity.
(3) The officials, who suffered from immobilism for a long time since the late 90s, are now forced to either enter the revolutionary upsurge, either step aside.

At the end of last year, the Korean people greeted the second inauguration season in implementing the Regional Development 20×10 Policy.
In less than a year, regional-industry factories such as foodstuff, garment and daily necessities factories were splendidly built in 20 cities and counties as planned.
The people of Kangdong County, where regional-industry factories, a leisure complex and a hospital were built at the same time, are enjoying a new life and a new civilization, full of boundless delight and optimism.

He appreciated that all the sections of the camp were practically arranged in a balanced way and all the elements of architecture were formed in good harmony with the surroundings.
He referred to our Party's stand of giving utmost priority to steadily expanding cultural life sphere for the improvement of the people's well-being.
Saying that another cultural recreation ground, the base for civilization has been provided in the Onpho hot spring area with a long history to suit our era which pursues steady development, he recollected that he had severely criticized the situation of the holiday camp where every section and element remained uncultured and whose operation was also unsanitary although it had the signboard showing that it is the historic building associated with the exploits of the Party, when he visited the camp some years ago. He said that now, the camp is in an incredible state. He noted that different ministres are in charge of camps and it is an issue.

Officials, workers and technicians in the electric power industry of the DPRK have built a solar power plant with the capacity of thousands of kilowatts in the area of Phabal-ri of Kim Hyong Gwon County, Ryanggang Province.
This power plant was built under the first-stage plan for creating the solar generating capacity of tens of thousands of kilowatts in Ryanggang Province. It laid another material and technical foundation for the sustained growth of electricity production.
