Noting that the complex has made a big stride in putting the machine-building industry on a modern and advanced basis, he said another valuable asset has been produced to creditably consolidate the foundation of the self-supporting economy.
Today's era, when the overall national economy has been put on a track of stable growth and the great cause of regional development is increasingly accelerating, demands quality machines and equipment more than ever before, he said, urging the machine-building industry sector to direct proactive efforts to producing efficient machine products and push ahead with sci-tech research and talented manpower reinforcement without letup for updating machines and equipment and enhancing their quality level.
He set the next-stage modernization goal to be reached by the complex and advanced detailed tasks to be fulfilled to strongly propel the undertaking for putting the overall machine-building industry on a advanced basis.

This post is a summary of the letter to the 10th Congress of the Youth League on 29 April 2021, by Kim Jong Un, published as a 33 pages book titled "Demonstrate to the Full the Might of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League on the Historic March towards a Fresh Victory in the Revolution". Amid the soaring revolutionary enthusiasm characteristic of the young people of Korea as they advance in the new direction set by the Eighth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Tenth Congress of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League has been successfullv held.
Following the Eighth Party Congress, young men and women across the country rose up as one, and within a few months thousands of them have volunteered to work in the most difficult and challenging sectors. Such deeds, which are as heroic as going to the frontline during wartime and blocking the gun muzzle of an enemy pillbox with their chest, epitomize the ennobling spiritual world cherished by our young people alone.
With this youth force we can be confident that our Party and people, by overcoming the trials of today, can open a new era of socialist construction and vigorously advance towards communism. The youth was the main factor in our revolution, after all.
The congress adopted a significant resolution on renaming the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League, the Socialist Patriotic Youth League. This new name directly and clearly reflects the nature and tasks of the youth movement at the present stage of our revolution, highlights the ideals and traits of the young people of our era, and sustains the unique characteristics of the youth league as an organization of young people. It also reflects the great expectation of the Party and people that all our young people will train themselves into patriots who value socialism as highly as life itself and fight staunchly for its victory throughout the generations, and that their organization will give free rein to its might as a shock brigade in socialist construction.
SPYL should, by giving full play to its militant might, usher in a golden age for the Korean youth movement. The policy can be summed in these points:
(1) To orient all its work to making each and every young person a patriot for whom socialism is an element of their faith. Socialism is our people's life and blood, and young people are the builders and masters of its future. However, because they were born and grew up at a time when the country was experiencing hardship, the young people of today lack practical experience and an appreciation of the genuine advantages of our own style of socialism and, worse still, some of them have an erroneous understanding of it. Youth league organizations should work ceaselessly to step up the effort to arm young people firmly with the socialist ideology. It is important to offer them a theoretical and comparative education in the kind of society socialism is, and in the essential features and advantages of socialism of our own style.
In training our young people as patriots who cherish socialism as an element of their faith it is important to encourage them to learn from the ideological traits and fighting spirit of the young people of the Chollima era. The young people of the 1950s and 1960s, having accepted the ideals of socialism and communism as an element of their faith, through their hard work, created the miracle of Chollima and built the most advantageous socialism on this land.
(2) to train all the young people into honourable builders of socialism in the practical struggle for carrying out the decisions of the Eighth Party Congress. Young people are filled with patriotic zeal, and their mettle and character are refined and developed through practical activities, through training, to fulfil the mission their generation has assumed before history.

They should put in place shock brigades, sub teams, etc. The youth team organization should play a role in military service and ideological formation.
(3) to train young people into genuine masters of socialist morality and culture. In stepping up socialist construction, our Party is paying special attention to maintaining, inheriting and developing the excellent morality and culture unique to our society. The powerful socialist country we are building must be superior and advanced also in the moral and cultural aspects, and young people should play a major role in this effort.
Our Party hopes that the ennobling communist moral trait of sharing the sorrows and happiness of others will become part of the life of young people, and that they will perform more praiseworthy deeds that showcase the true nature of our era.
At present the dangerous poison that blemishes the original features of socialism is the anti-socialist and non-socialist practices. Now a large-scale clean-up operation to wipe out these practices is underway on a nationwide scale. It is another class struggle, a patriotic struggle, to defend the purity and future of our young people and to provide them with a more wonderful home of socialism. The youth league should mobilize its efforts to the maximum and call all young people to the struggle against these practices. It should turn the struggle against the reactionary ideology and culture, malignant tumors, into work of young people themselves by educating them to have a clear understanding of their harmful effects and consequences, and should never compromise with even the slightest elements that would foment the anti-socialist and non-socialist practices among young people and gnaw away their healthy spirit.
Many problems very present in the organization must be solved:
-The youth league organizations should guard strictly against the tendency of educational work for young people becoming ritual and modish, and should ceaselessly uncover and apply fresh educational methods so as to increase the absorption and educative influence of ideology, in conformity with the ideological sentiments, emotions and level of consciousness of the young people of our era.
-the youth league should do everything to organize the masses and integrate them. It must uniformize its internal forces, in particular in the countryside.
-Some youth league officials are guilty of a short-term attitude. Far from devoting themselves to their work, they are only interested in seeing out their term. Unless the irresponsible, short-term attitude revealed in this organization is eradicated, no innovative breakthrough can be expected in the work with young people.
Our Party and people expect the millions of sons and daughters of the country to demonstrate to the world the resourcefulness and mettle of the Korean youth in their struggle to bring earlier the bright future of socialism and communism by carrying forward the baton of loyalty and patriotism bequeathed to them by their revolutionary forerunners. I firmly believe that all youth league organizations and young people, flying proudly the flag of the SPYL, will, under the leadership of the Party, fully perform their noble mission and duties on the historic advance towards a fresh victory in the revolution.

KCNA:New Houses Built at Farms in Kangwon Province
Several farms in Kangwon Province of the DPRK have presented unusual scenes of rural rejuvenation.
Newly-built public and production buildings at the Kwanphung Farm in Munchon City and new houses at Mabang and Majang farms in Cholwon County boasting of new appearances of cultural efflorescence are telling of the great benevolence of the motherly Workers' Party of Korea to provide the agricultural workers with a more affluent and civilized life.

Rodong Sinmun:Intelligent Tele-education System Newly Established
Kim Chaek University of Technology has made great strides in establishing intelligent tele-education system of our style.
The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un gave precious instructions as regards the work for bringing science and technology close to production by bringing tele-education closer to reality and the development of tele-education.
The tele-education faculty of the university set a high goal of putting tele-education onto a high stage true to the noble intention of the General Secretary.
In this course, educators of the university newly established intelligent tele-education system by introducing AI and computer technologies and combining theoretics of educational science and its successes after deeply studying the world developing trend.
An intelligent teaching management system which constitutes an important part of the tele-education system automatically judges the study result of a student and provides appropriate study materials in order of cognition.

This new method of producing bearing steel is of very great significance in satisfying the demand for various kinds of bearing steel, urgently needed in different sectors of the national economy.
Officials and technicians of the complex, with the single mind to contribute to the development of the country’s economy, have made painstaking efforts to develop a bearing steel production method with oxygen-blast furnace pig iron and establish its production process. As a result a firm foundation for realizing localization of bearing steel and fully meeting the domestic demand for bearing steel was laid.
