different words, not mine, but meaningful.
The experience I'm sharing is not depression; it's something even Mother Teresa encountered:
The Dark Night of the Soul.

The Dark Night of the Soul is a profound spiritual crisis or period of desolation characterized by a profound sense of abandonment by God, the absence of spiritual consolation, and a deep anguish of the soul.

Close your eyes and hear the whisper: "Absofuckinglutely goodnight!"
I'm learning.
🪖 The Personal War of Attrition

In a toxic environment, your energy is like a national reserve — oil, gold, and spirit being depleted by a war you didn't start. You feel the freeze because your brain is in survival mode, not study mode.

Most countries in a prolonged war don't fall to a single strike. They deplete. Slowly. The reserves thin out. The noise of conflict becomes the new normal. And somewhere in that noise, they forget what peace even felt like.

That is what sustained pressure does to a person.

The danger isn't the environment itself. The danger is waiting for it to end before you begin. Countries that only wait and use reserves eventually run out and lose. The ones that survive don't wait for peace. They operate inside the erosion—smaller movements, guarded focus, chosen battles. And they carry something forward the war can't touch: The Peace Treaty.
Not signed yet. Not arrived. But real enough to protect. A letter. A door. A version of life with your name on it.

The reserve you protect in the erosion determines what survives the crossing.
Surveillance: Watching to judge, control, catch mistakes.

Witness: Watching to understand, appreciate, hold.
The deepest hurt: being valued but not necessary.
See the absurd clearly, refuse false hope, and still live intensely

Atif Aslam – Jaane De
This song resembles my feelings of dealing with people with my true and best heart, hoping for a sense of not being alone, yet still having to move on alone without collapsing. Thinking about the missing part is exhausting and heavy because the patience it asks for isn't a small thing to swallow in each and every moment when the throat tightens. That is my capacity right now, but I am already building the capacity to hold it if it could be real anyway. Not necessarily love, but understanding, care, and a consistent flow of peace like music in a peaceful environment: with no noise, no disturbance, no interruptions, and no swings of mood here and there; just peace.
Effort ≠ outcome
Resonance is not meant to become something.
It is meant to reveal something.
Trust Drives Success (Not Surveillance)

Punishment only works if the other person registers it as punishment.
