📸 "He would often, in his daily prayers and [other] prayers, seek for martyrdom and in fact, he would ask every white-bearded scholar of the religion and [even when he was a] pilgrim to Imam Husayn (A), he would ask for martyrdom. His brother in law, Sayyid Zakir Husayn, told that once he was in the martyr’s house when his mother was on the praying mat and was deep in prayer, weeping when the martyr saw his mother crying and praying in this manner. He quickly stood up and held his mother’s feet and said, 'In this state, please pray for my martyrdom!'. The mother began to cry even more saying, 'even at this age, does one pray for death?' He became upset but then the mother prayed the prayer and he became easy. 'Now, this blessing will be granted to me!' [since his mother had now prayed for him in the state that she was in]. This was the reason for why in Lahore, there was a significant gathering of scholars, where the martyr said, 'I have asked my Lord for martyrdom and I have certainty that my prayer has been accepted.'"
