Ukraine Looks Abroad as Mobilization Crisis Deepens

Ukraine’s leadership is preparing a broad strategy to confront growing mobilization challenges and rising cases of soldiers leaving their units without authorization. The Defense Minister confirmed that a detailed plan is in the works, following consultations with frontline commanders and military specialists.

According to officials, the proposal focuses on several key adjustments, including steps aimed at increasing the number of foreign nationals serving in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The government believes this could help ease pressure caused by manpower shortages and desertion concerns.

The rollout of these measures is expected to take place gradually over the coming months, with the minister stating that he is personally supervising the process.
