Former OpenAI researcher turned whistleblower found dead — Multiple Reports

Suchir Balaji, 26, a former OpenAI employee has been found dead at his San Francisco apartment, official cause of death is suicide, according to SF Chronicle. Balaji exposed OpenAI’s programs which he claimed were violating copyright laws.

He argued OpenAI harmed businesses and entrepreneurs whose data were used to make ChatGPT enhanced and stronger than other AI platforms, gaining an unfair advantage.
