A message from Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem:

"I extend my deepest condolences to our patient and resilient people across all of Lebanon for the martyrdom of the righteous—men, women, children, and fighters. I ask Almighty God to grant them His vast mercy for the pure blood they have offered for our people and our homeland, a sacrifice we see as a force that fuels dignity and victory in the face of the brutal and tyrannical Israeli-American enemy. I also pray for the swift recovery of the wounded, and for patience, strength, and perseverance for their families.

The Israeli enemy has failed on the battlefield in confronting the brave resistance fighters. It has been unable to carry out the ground invasion it repeatedly declared. Its soldiers and officers have fallen into resistance ambushes, and its military vehicles have been destroyed at the crossroads of towns and villages. It has repeatedly shifted its objectives—at times seeking to reach the Litani River, at others attempting limited advances, then control through firepower, or relying on destruction alone. Yet, throughout more than forty days of aggression, it has failed to stop rockets, shells, and drones from reaching its settlements, near and far, extending to Haifa and beyond.

The enemy was taken by surprise by the resistance’s tactics—the flexibility of its fighters, their defensive capabilities, and their legendary courage. It has become clear that even mobilizing one hundred thousand Israeli soldiers will not enable occupation; rather, they risk becoming corpses and scattered remains. Those who remain in the field live in fear and terror, uncertain of when they will be killed, captured, or ordered to withdraw due to their inability to maintain any foothold on the pure land in the South—the land of giving and martyrdom.

For forty days, the enemy has accumulated failure. Its settlements are overwhelmed with fear and pain, its plans in disarray, and its officials issuing loud threats with little effect. In an attempt to mask its battlefield failure, the enemy has resorted to bloody crimes, targeting civilians on Wednesday in Beirut, the southern suburbs, the South, the Bekaa, and Mount Lebanon—striking densely populated neighborhoods, towns, and villages. Yet our Lebanese people are far stronger and more steadfast than the enemy imagines. The displaced have set an example of pride and resilience, those who hosted them have demonstrated the highest forms of humanity and national solidarity, and the fighters on the frontlines remain an unbreakable barrier that has shattered the enemy’s ambitions.

The resistance will continue until the very last breath. The eagerness of our youth to join the battlefield and remain there is a beacon of hope and dignity. These sacrifices only deepen our determination to liberate our land and preserve our dignity. We will not accept a return to the previous status quo. We call on officials to halt free concessions. Together—as a state, an army, a people, and a resistance—we will protect our country, restore its sovereignty, and expel the occupier.

Their threats and weapons will not intimidate us. We are the people of this land. We possess faith, willpower, and capability to prevent them from achieving their goals.

As God Almighty said: God has decreed: I and My messengers shall prevail. Indeed, God is Powerful and Mighty."
