PAD- PRO.M.ET.EO, DD
In commemoration of African Children’s Day, themed “Let’s Protect Children, Let’s Respect Their Rights,” PAD brought together minors in the shelter, government representatives, and community social workers to promote child rights and protection.
The event featured children’s presentations and a panel discussion on the importance of African Children’s Day, addressing children’s migration issues, strengthening stakeholder collaboration, fostering partnerships, and enhancing coordination for the effective implementation of the PRO.M.ET.EO Project.
The celebration concluded with a gallery walk showcasing project achievements and the positive impact of activities implemented to support vulnerable children and their families.

Aug 3-7 , The country office team conducted a monitoring visit in Dire Dawa and harar. The visit began welcoming the new program Manager Eugenia Pacini, followed by a joint team meeting
where PROMETEO AND SECOND LIFE projects progress updates were presented by coordinators. A visit to three compounds of the co-housing and Dignity Kit distributed for the youth and a field visit to Harar Vera Health centers, PAD, Dire Dawa Vera office, Industrial Park, TVET center and graduated minors, Dire Dawa migration, Task force and the bureau of Women and Children. The mission strengthened collaboration with partners and reviewed progress in supporting vulnerable children and youths.
