At one point the Bavarian Illuminati sought to increase their membership by recruiting from Masonic lodges, that was more than 200 years ago, and the Bavarian Illuminati itself has not existed since 1785. Authorities in religions who are afraid of organizations like Masonry outlaw it or tell their members that they are in grave sin if they join the Masons. From the flip side of the coin, Masons welcome members of any religion equally.

Next time you hear someone call the freemaons evil ask them what evidence they have of that.
