Here's the problem: If you're loading Google Fonts directly from Google's servers, you're automatically sending visitor IP addresses (personal data!) to Google's US servers โ without consent. A German court has already confirmed this is a direct GDPR violation, which means potential fines for your business.
Good news! The fix is easy:
โ Self-host your Google Fonts: Download them and serve them from your own server.
โ Switch to privacy-friendly system fonts: Use fonts already built into your visitors' devices.
