होय खरे आहे, मी इथे नव्हतो.

होय दोन मुले होती. एक आहे कॅनडाला, दुसरा ऑस्ट्रेलियाला.

*नाहीतर काय म्हणणार.*
आज भारतात आम्ही दोघेच आहोत. *शंकरराव बोलते झाले.*
वय झालं आहे तीच सततचं दु:खणं असतं. दवाखान्यात न्यायला कुणी सोबत नाही. साधी दूधाची पिशवी कुणी आणायची हा प्रश्न आहे. *तो शेजारचा आसाराम माझ्या पेक्षा कैक पटीने सुखी आहे*. चारपाच मुलं, दोन-तीन मुली, आठ दहा नातवंडं... नुसता गोंधळ असतो. त्याचे कुणी पाय चोपत असतं, तर डोकं चोपत असतं, तर कुणी डोक्याला तेल लावतं असतं.

*साधा खोकला आला तर चार चार जण आसारामला उचलतात, दवाखान्यात नेतात, सलाईन लावतात. पलंगावर दोघं जण उषा पायथ्याला बसतात. दवाखान्याबाहेर आठजण बसून असतात. कुणी शिरा आणतं, कुणी सफरचंद आणतं, कुणी बिस्किटं आणतयं. आसारामच्या दिमतीला पंधरा माणसं*.

आमचा मोठा बंगला, लाखभर पेन्शन, अलिशान गाडी, पण साधं गेट उघडायला कुणी नाही.
गाडी चालवायला कुणी नाही. त्या आसारामच्या दारांत मोडक्या तुडक्या का असेना चारपाच बाईक उभ्या असतात. कुणी भाजी आणतयं, कुणी पिण्याचं जार आणतंय, कुणी दळण आणतंय, कुणी भेटायला आलेल्या पाहुण्याला सोडायला जातय, कुणी स्टॅन्डवरच्या पाहुण्याला आणायला जात असतय.
म्हतारी दोनचार नातवाला घेवून किराणा दुकानांवर दिवसभर चकरा मारत असते.
रात्री बारा वाजे पर्यंत यांचा आरडा ओरडा, गप्पा, हास्य कल्लोळ चालुच असतो. दहा बारा पत्र्यांचं घर आणि अंगण कस गजबजलेलं असतं.

*माझ्या कॅनडाच्या मुलाला ३० लाखांच पॅकेज, ऑस्ट्रेलिया वाल्याला ३५ चं पॅकेज* आणि आम्हांला लाख भर पेन्शन.

*त्या आसारामचा सारा खेळ रोजचा हजार दोन हजाराचाच*. पण काय थाट. साधा पाण्याचा मातीचाच माठ पण थंडगार पाणी, जेवण सोन्यावाणी.
*आता कोण सुखी तुम्हीच सांगा शंकरराव.*
तो आसाराम का मी एक्स कमिशनर.
माझ्यांकडे कुत्रं नाही. आसारामकडे माणसंच माणसे.
आता बोला *आम्ही वांझ नाही तर काय आहोत.*
परवा मोठ्यां मुलांला हि बोलली एकदा ये महिनाभरासाठी तर तो म्हणाला महिनाभरासाठी? *मला एक तासाचा वेळ नाही.*
चीडून हि म्हणाली, मेल्यावर तरी येणार कां? नाही. तेव्हा तो काहीच बोलला नाही. फोन खाली ठेवला.
सांगा शंकरराव *आम्ही वांझोटे नाही तर काय आहोत.*

मला माझं काही वाटत नाही. मी गेल्यांवर शेवंतीच कसं होईल हीच चिंता आहे. *नापास मुलंच आई बापांचा खरा आधार आहेत.* आसारामचं एक पोरगं मॅट्रीक पास नाही, पण त्याच्या इतका सुखी कुणी नाही.

*परवा आसारामच्या मुलांनं हिला दवाखान्यात नेलं आणलं*. आसारामच्या सुनाने स्वयंपांक करुन दिला.
काय मिळवलं मी कुणांसाठी?

*मुलं म्हणतात आम्हांला तुमचं घर नको शेती नको* .............

शकंररावांनाही मुल जास्त काही मोठी झाली नाही याची जी खंत होती, ती दुर झाली.

मी वांझोटा नाही राहणार. मी माझं सारं सारं आसारामच्या मुलांना दान करणार. बदल्यांत फक्त प्रेमळ चटणी भाकरीचाच सहवास मागणार.

प्रेम हवयं की, दुरावा.
एकलकोंडे रहायचं की, आनंदी परीवारात.
माणुसकी हवी की, फक्त पैसा.
या सर्व गोष्टींचा विचार करण्याची खरी गरज आहे...
म्हणून पालकांनो आपल्या मुलींना गोकुळासारखे घर भरलेले असलेल्या परीवारातच द्या. म्हणजे ती एकटी पडणार नाही.
तुमच्या मुलीला सुख समाधान समृध्दी आनंद अशाच परीवारात मिळेल जेथे माणसेंच रहातात.
चांगली माणसें चांगला परीवार पाहून आपण आपल्या मुली अशाच घरी द्या.
योग्य वेळी योग्य वयातच मुलामुलींचे विवाह करा.
भौतिक सुखाची अवास्तव अपेक्षा करु नका. हे क्षणिक सुख आहे.
