The sound engine of the EP-1 electric piano first appeared in 2011 in the flagship KRONOS synthesizer, a KORG workstation. It used the newly developed MDS (Multi-Dimensional Synthesis) technology, which expresses smooth and dynamic pitch changes precisely matching key presses, something previous sample playback methods could not achieve.

The VOX Continental organ, originally designed in the early 1960s as a more portable and affordable alternative to tonewheel organs, quickly became a staple instrument of the "British Invasion" bands thanks to its distinctive sound and striking red-and-black design. The bright timbre and bold attitude of the Continental perfectly complement jangle guitars and easily cut through the mix on stage and in the studio.
