A radioactive isotope of cobalt, known to undergo beta decay is used to make a parallel plate capacitor. Capacitor when connected to an ideal battery gets steady state charge which comes somehow proportional to its mass. The electrons emitted after beta decay exit the plate and the whole system to get absorbed by a distant positively charged rod.
