Plants

Plants are extraordinary living things. Although they seem simple, they are actually, in some ways, more complicated than us.

For instance, a whole new plant can be grown from just a single leaf. No animal can accomplish that! The way that plants distribute their seeds is amazing too. Plants can shoot seeds from their pods, send them flying on the wind, or grow spines that attach seeds to animals’ fur, spreading new generations everywhere.

Plants are also amazingly adaptable, finding ways to grow even in impossible environments, both hot and cold. Plants manufacture their own food from sunlight, absorb nutrients from the ground, and fool insects into spreading their pollen. Truly, they are some of nature’s finest creations.


گیاهان

گیاهان موجودات زنده شگفت انگیزی هستند. هر چند ساده به نظر می‌رسند ولی به طرقی بسیار پیچیده تر از ما هستند.

برای مثال یک گیاه جدید کامل تنها با یک برگ رشد می‌کند. هیچ حیوانی قادر به انجام چنین کاری نیست! روشی که گیاهان دانه‌های خود را پراکنده می‌کنند هم جالب است. گیاهان می‌توانند دانه ها را از تخمدانشان پرتاب کنند، آنها را به وسیله باد پراکنده کنند، یا به شکل علف‌هایی هستند که دانه های خود را به پشم و موی حیوانات می‌چسبانند و نسل جدیدی را در همه جا گسترش می‌دهند.

گیاهان به طرز شگفت‌انگیزی سازگار پذیرند، روشی برای رشد حتی در محیط هایی که رشد آنها را غیر ممکن می‌کند، محیط های سرد یا گرم پیدا می‌کنند. گیاهان غذای خود را از نور خورشید، جذب مواد مغذی از زمین، و حشراتی که گرده افشانی می‌کنند. در حقیقت انها یکی از بهترین مخلوقات طبیعت هستند.

A Noisy Neighbor

Barbara couldn't take it any more. Her upstairs neighbor was blasting his stereo again. She had asked him twice already to turn the volume down. The first time she asked, he was surprised. He said he didn't know that she could hear his stereo.

"Yes," she said, "it's just like your stereo was in my living room. I can hear every note!"

He said he would keep it down. She hoped that he was telling the truth. Of course, he wasn't. The very next day, he blasted his stereo. She marched upstairs to remind him of his promise. He said the volume was so low that he could barely hear it. She asked him to turn it lower. He said he would try. Barbara could swear that when she reentered her apartment, the music was louder than when she had walked upstairs.

So, this was the third time. She took her baseball bat upstairs with her. She knocked very loudly on his door. When he opened the door, she screamed at him like a crazy person. She told him she would kill him if he didn't turn the music down and keep it down. His eyes got big.

She went back downstairs. She couldn't hear a note.

I can't believe I said that, she told herself.

سلام.

با توجه به جمله معنی کلمه enter، معنی خودش رو میده و نیازی به حرف اضافه‌ای نداره تا معنی آن را کامل کنه.
بنابراين گزینه سوم صحیحه و جمله ما نیازی به حرف اضافه نداره.
