USDT Dominance%(USDT.D) is one of the most important indicators to monitor for the broader cryptocurrency market.

USDT.D% is currently attempting to break above the key trading level of 7.08% and the nearby Resistance Zone.

Can USDT.D% extend its rally toward 7.41% and put more pressure on Bitcoin and altcoins?

Macro Outlook

When USDT.D rises, it often signals that capital is moving toward stablecoins and away from riskier crypto assets, which can pressure Bitcoin, Ethereum, and altcoins.

At the same time, the U.S. 10-Year Treasury Yield(US10Y) and the U.S. Dollar Index(DXY) also appear to have bullish potential. Further strength in both could support another rise in USDT.D% as financial conditions tighten.

Technical Analysis

If USDT.D confirms a breakout above 7.08% and the Resistance Zone, the next important upside level could be 7.41%.

From an Elliott Wave perspective, USDT.D% appears to be developing its main Wave 4.

This corrective Wave 4 could potentially complete near the 38.2% Fibonacci level, which also overlaps with the key trading level of 7.41%.

In the short term, I expect USDT.D% to continue moving higher toward 7.41%.

However, if Wave 4 completes around this area, USDT.D% could begin a new bearish move, which would be a positive signal for Bitcoin(BTCUSDT), Ethereum, and the broader cryptocurrency market.

The Federal Reserve has raised the Federal Funds Rate to 4.00% from 3.75%, exactly as expected.

Because the 25-bps hike was already heavily priced in, the rate decision itself may not determine the final market direction. Before the decision, markets were assigning roughly a 90%+ probability to a hike.

The key focus now shifts to the FOMC Economic Projections, Dot Plot, and Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s press conference in 30 minutes.

A more hawkish outlook or signals of further rate hikes could support DXY and pressure Gold and Bitcoin. A less hawkish tone could trigger the opposite reaction.
