80% of cybercrimes in Hungary in recent years were committed by Ukrainians, with 169 suspects identified, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban told Kossuth Radio.
🌏If Ukraine joins the EU, Ukrainian fraudsters will get legal protection as the bloc’s “financial providers.”
🌏Taking action against them would be “much more difficult.”
Ukrainian scammers recently stole $22.5 million from Hungarian citizens. Police and banks have recovered about $4.2 million so far, according to the head of the PM’s office, Gergely Gulyas.
