Google app icon gets an update
Google has updated its colorful “G” logo for the first time in almost a decade. An update to the Google app on iOS and Pixel phones shows a new logo that blends the logo’s red, yellow, green, and blue colors into a gradient.
Google last made a major change to its logo in September 2015, when the company updated its font to a sans-serif typeface

VPNSecure didn’t know customers had lifetime subscriptions, cancels them
The new owner of VPNSecure, InfiniteQuant Ltd, which acquired the company as part of "an asset-only deal" in 2023, has terminated all lifetime subscriptions. The owners weren't aware of the lifetime subscription and could not honour the purchases.
The VPNSecure sales listing did not mention lifetime subscriptions sold through StackSocial and Wccftech. The owner did not sue the sellers because a lawsuit would be costlier than the entire deal.
The affected users are being provided with discounts: $1.87 for a month (instead of $9.95), $19 for a year (instead of $79.92), or $55 for three years (instead of $107.64), available till May 31.

The new expressive redesign is finally incoming with the new Android 16 QPR1 beta!
Most of the changes we have previously leaked are now officialized by Google. As spotted on Android 16 QPR1 Beta 1, the presence of this new "expressive design" is all over the system.
Here's a small re-cap of what's to be expected in the upcoming build:
• adding of blur all over the system, such as the app drawer (source) and the launcher overview (source);
• new status bar icons, similar to the ones from iOS (source);
• reworked recents view page with a newer (and cleaner) interface (source);
• clock personalization and wallpaper effects for customizing further your setup (source).
• the long awaited quick settings shown in photos, in contrast to the many experiments done with dual-shade...
...and many more! It seems like developers are really working hard on making Pixel phone's interface more customizable and enjoyable for the end-user, catching up with the latest trends introduced by the different skins present in today's phones market.
Are you happy with these finalized changes? Would you have preferred if Google took some more time and maybe rethought some of their design choices? Let us know below!
