Seems Youtube banning self hosting videos for no reason is going to cause some resistance. Self hosting is not exactly as easy as people make it sound, but it's rewarding enough to make it something worth trying.
In an age where large networks can't protect your data the advantages may be worth considering.

Malleable software: Restoring user agency in a world of locked-down apps
The original promise of personal computing was a new kind of clay. Instead, we got appliances: built far away, sealed, unchangeable. In this essay, we envision malleable software: tools that users can reshape with minimal friction to suit their unique needs.

🔥 SOCIAL POST: "Play Integrity Isn’t Security—It’s Monopoly!"
📌 THE SYMBOLIC IMAGE (for artists/AI to visualize):
A tech dystopia where:
• Google mass-certifies devices like a factory (robots stamping phones with a "G" logo).
• "Non-compliant" devices get trashed (Huawei, Fairphone, modded phones in a dumpster).
• Rebel hackers smash digital locks with screwdrivers/USBs, revealing: *"Freedom > Certification"*.
• Google’s control tower looms in the back, with screens saying *"Security"*—but wires lead to a sign: *"Terms & Conditions apply"*.
🎨 Style: Cyberpunk + *1984* vibes, with glitch effects and neon contrasts.
👇 WHY IT MATTERS:
Play Integrity ISN’T a neutral certification. It’s a tool to:
1️⃣ BLOCK competitors (no GMS? You’re out!).
2️⃣ BAN root/custom ROMs ("Your device, your rules"? Not anymore.).
3️⃣ FORCE Google services (Play Store, APIs, etc.).
💡 SOLUTIONS?
• Free OSs: GrapheneOS, /e/OS.
• Alternative stores: F-Droid, Aurora.
• Fight back: Report abuses to antitrust authorities!
✊ SHARE IF YOU BELIEVE SECURITY SHOULDN’T MEAN CENSORSHIP!
