🚗💻 Nissan Leaf hacked with scrap gear — the car was spying on its driver
Hackers used a DIY setup made from discarded gadgets and eBay parts — and it was enough to fully hack a 2020 Nissan Leaf.
🔹 They remotely controlled the car:
– turned the steering wheel
– changed the route
– interfered with systems in real time
🔹 But the worst part:
– the car was recording the driver’s conversations
– and streaming them online
“Smart cars” aren’t just about comfort anymore — they’re a new cyber threat frontier. And apparently, even junk tech can unlock your vehicle.

Elon Musk announces XChat with Bitcoin-style encryption
Elon Musk has introduced XChat, X's new DM feature. XChat includes end-to-end encryption with 4-digit passcode and disappearing messages. Users can also make audio/video calls without phone number, and upload any kind of file.
XChat is built on Rust and uses encryption similar to Bitcoin's encryption. It is rolling out in beta right now for select users and will roll out for more users soon.
