Suppose that you want to run an instance of FreshRSS, but you are behind a firewall and NAT, then I2P is a solution, and you can access to FreshRSS or any other service that you desire which is solely hosted on your private computer.

Actually, BitTorrent had created Maelstorm, which is of similar concept to I2P, albeit not as flexible as I2P.
I suppose that the USA government has pressured to shut it down.
