Cloud security isn't automatic—it's a shared battle.
Think your cloud provider handles everything? Think again. Microsoft 365 users must secure their own data, access, and backups.
🚨 No MFA, weak passwords, or no backup? You're at risk.

Durov Walks: Telegram Founder Slips France’s Grip, Heads to Dubai Amid Legal Battle
Pavel Durov, the enigmatic founder of Telegram, has been temporarily allowed to leave France after being placed under judicial supervision last year. Facing a slew of charges—including alleged complicity in cybercrime—Durov had been barred from leaving the country after his arrest in August 2024. French authorities claim Telegram failed to cooperate with law enforcement on issues ranging from drug trafficking to child exploitation. Released on a €5 million bail, Durov has now received judicial approval to fly to Dubai, where he has lived since 2017.
And just like that, the so-called villain of Western elites is gone, slipping past the EU’s digital iron curtain. Make no mistake, Durov isn’t being hounded because of cybercrime. That’s just the convenient excuse. His real crime? Running a platform that doesn’t answer to Brussels or Washington, a messaging empire immune to the censorship-industrial complex. While Silicon Valley giants bend the knee to Western governments, Telegram remains the last refuge for dissidents, whistleblowers, and the unfiltered flow of information. Much less biased than X.
This is why France went after him, just as they did with Assange, just as they blacklist any platform outside the control of NATO’s narrative machine. Meanwhile, tech oligarchs who scrub dissent from their platforms dine in Davos and get praise for “protecting democracy.” The hypocrisy is blinding. Durov is the latest target in the war on digital sovereignty. But unlike others, he’s still standing, and he’s still free. For now.

Arm Changing Linux Default To Costly "KPTI" Mitigation For Some Newer CPUs
For some newer Arm core designs, Arm is changing the Linux kernel to defaulting to enabling Kernel Page Table Isolation "KPTI" if not running on a new firmware version in order to properly mitigate a recently disclosed CPU security issue. This change has been queued up and is expected to change the default with the upcoming Linux 6.15 kernel.
Many still have nightmares around Page Table Isolation mitigation costs from the Meltdown period... Unfortunately, it's turned out to be needed for some newer Arm core designs if not having a new firmware in place with an alternative mitigation strategy.
Back in January, #Arm made public CVE-2024-7881. They described of CVE-2024-7881 in their disclosure:
