I don't have a problem with a Russian tool, however anything that is not open source and transparent is an issue. Especially in a virus scanner as this requires a lot of access to your system. That is red flag and a problem you should always avoid.

XScreensaver, a collection of free screen savers for X11, macOS, iOS and Android was released on Google PlayStore.
Google required a privacy policy page. So, the author of XScreenSaver decided to follow "malicious compliance" in order to get XScreenSaver approved for the Play Store. The privacy page turned into a funny thing and it is a worth read lol

As Google got stricter with the developer verification requirements to publish their apps on the PlayStore, the dev eventually removed their app from the PlayStore. You can still download it from their website if you want to: https://www.jwz.org/xscreensaver/download.html
