Starting in 2020, schools rapidly adopted “one device per student” programs—placing tablets and lockdown laptops in the hands of nearly every child.

These changes were sold as necessary for learning, but they also introduced new risks: constant screen exposure, state-mandated devices, and data-driven monitoring that follows kids from the classroom into their homes.

Parents deserve to understand how this shift impacts their children and what alternatives exist.

All non-EU-citizens must enroll in biometric registration (facial scan, fingerprint) as a replacement to stamped Visas. This system goes live October 12th, those who choose not to comply can't enter the country.

If you are an NPC or a clone you can now swipe your tongue on your iPhone.

In iOS 26, gesture controls have been expanded to allow you to use your iPhone without touching it.

To enable, go to Settings → Accessibility → Head Tracking (on) → Tongue Stick. Then, assign the desired function to this gesture.

You can also customize other facial movements.

I recently joined the Word Up with Dani Katz podcast, and we talked about something crucial: protecting your privacy day to day.

One key tip is to think about disassociating your personal life, your work life, and your online persona.

It’s also essential to stay aware of what platforms you’re using and the unspoken agreements around them. For example, regular calls and texts are some of the least private ways to communicate—so it’s worth considering more secure alternatives.

⚡️US-UK AI “Tech Prosperity” Deal Mirrors China’s AI+ Blueprint

The “Tech Prosperity Deal” turned heads during Trump’s visit to Britain. Besides a Memorandum of Understanding that reads almost like China’s AI+ plan, all we’ve seen are Silicon Valley pledges to build data centers and a partnership with the UK military.

Microsoft, Nvidia, Google, Salesforce, Oracle, AWS, and BlackRock signed on. Projects include Britain’s largest AI supercomputer (£22 billion with Microsoft and Nvidia), Google’s new data center in Waltham Cross, and CoreWeave’s “green data centers.”

Palantir is investing $2 billion, with $750 million going to supply its Gotham software to the UK military and navy—embedding US intelligence software directly in Britain.

The MoU commits the US and UK to cooperate on AI, nuclear power, fusion, quantum, and 6G R&D. The language and priorities closely resemble China’s AI+ plan, suggesting a coordinated global push.

Buon giorno,

I'm here in Italy doing some final research for my upcoming Digital ID report. I'll be traveling around before the upcoming biometric travel requirements and asking people if they agree with the changes, and whether they're concerned about Digital ID.

Its my first time in this part of the world and I'm rejuvenated by the landscape and culture. Its a welcome change of pace from the hustle and bustle in the US.

You come to appreciate the little things; looking at the wineries, entering a castle, and enjoying a bite or two.

Digital ID, just like the medieval watchtower in this picture threatens to watch over all of life's pleasures, and over all of us.

These little pleasures are worth fighting for.

For that reason I feel this Digital ID report is one of my most important works and I can't wait to share it with you.
