Qualcomm acquires Arduino

Qualcomm has acquired Arduino for an undisclosed sum, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary while allowing it to continue supporting existing products and partnerships independently.

As part of the deal, the companies unveiled the Arduino UNO Q, a powerful Linux-based single-board computer in the classic UNO form factor, blending a Qualcomm Dragonwing QRB2210 SoC (quad Arm Cortex-A53 at 2GHz, Adreno GPU, ISP for up to 25MP video) with 2GB LPDDR4 RAM and 16GB eMMC storage (4GB/32GB variant upcoming), plus Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and an STM32U585 MCU for real-time I/O on UNO-compatible pins.
Development occurs via the new Arduino App Lab IDE, integrating C sketches for the MCU, Python on Debian Linux, and AI models from Edge Impulse, supporting tethered or standalone modes.

China's Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. has reportedly suffered a data breach

A threat hacker from the secret forums website, allegedly selling the source code, including the tools they use (eg. unlocking bootloader, edl authentication, etc.)

There's no further announcement from Huawei yet, and the source was sold now. The revenue is around $98.5B, and sold it for $1K only.

Hey there! Welcome back!

This last year has been a whirlwind to say the least, but we have remained dedicated to bringing an updated LineageOS based on Android 16 to the masses!

We’ve been hard at work rebasing all of our changes and features since Android 16’s release in June. Android 16’s first release mainly contained iterative improvements and some UI/UX refinements, but due to our previous efforts adapting to Google’s UI-centric adjustments in Android 12 through 14, we were able to rebase onto Android 16’s code-base faster than anticipated. Yes you read that right: We’re early this year!

Other components have complicated our release and security patching efforts, but we’ll get to that shortly.
