AlterInstaller is a simple Magisk/KernelSU module that changes apps' installer, initiating installer, and update owner fields in the Android package manager database. This makes it possible to spoof where an app is installed from and control which app store is allowed to update it.

The module directly modifies /data/system/packages.xml before the package manager service starts and thus, does not require runtime code injection (eg. Zygisk). Because this state file is modified, the changes persist even if the module is uninstalled.

Supports Android 12 and newer only.

There is indeed a bug in the blocker UI . A fixed version is available here : https://gitlab.iode.tech/ota/ota/-/blob/master/fixes/Iode-fixed-6.8-2.37.apk (a news has also been sent).

In addition, a new beta OTA including this fix is available (v6 only). It has a number of improvements :

● Auto-reboot timeout (in Settigngs -> Security & Privacy -> More security & privacy)
● Quick settings globally untoggable from screen lock (in Screenlock settings)
● Secondary users logout : in Power menu. Permits a real logout instead of user switching.
● Private space and work profiles now available for secondary users

Qualcomm acquires Arduino

Qualcomm has acquired Arduino for an undisclosed sum, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary while allowing it to continue supporting existing products and partnerships independently.

China's Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. has reportedly suffered a data breach

A threat hacker from the secret forums website, allegedly selling the source code, including the tools they use (eg. unlocking bootloader, edl authentication, etc.)

There's no further announcement from Huawei yet, and the source was sold now. The revenue is around $98.5B, and sold it for $1K only.
