A year later, the ‘criminal investigation’ against me is still struggling to find anything that I or Telegram did wrong. Our moderation practices align with industry standards, and Telegram has always responded to every legally binding request from France.
Ironically, I was arrested due to the French police’s own mistake: before August 2024, they ignored French and EU laws and hadn’t sent any of their queries to Telegram via the required legal process. They could have learned the correct procedure simply by googling it or asking.
One year after this strange arrest, I still have to return to France every 14 days, with no appeal date in sight. Sadly, the only outcome of my arrest so far has been massive damage to France’s image as a free country.

🎧Android will soon let you decide if your Pixel can lower your loud headphone volume
To abide by regulatory requirements, Google in Android 14 QPR1 added a "sound exposure notifications" feature that not only warns you about prolonged exposure to loud audio but can automatically lower your headphone's volume to protect your hearing.
Currently, there's no way to control this feature - even in regions where it's not mandated by regulation. But Google is preparing a new 'Hearing Wellness' menu that will let you control this.

⚡ Palantir for Cars Hits U.S. Hardware Stores
Have you driven to the hardware store recently? If you have, your car may be in a searchable database thanks to Flock cameras. These systems scan every license plate, detect gunshots, and provide live footage to police.
All data feeds into Nova, a Palantir-like search platform where cops can look up things like “brown SUV with a dented door.”
The Electronic Frontier Foundation filed a Freedom of Information Act request and handed the data over to 404.media who first reported on this.
They produced a PDF showing police departments and locations that use Flock cameras, including 171 Home Depot and Lowe’s locations across the United States.
I ran the document through OCR, uploaded it to the Internet Archive, and made it searchable (the first page is a bit garbled, but the rest is readabable.) Check to see if your store is on the list:

Google Tensor G5 Announced Globally
Tensor G5 powers the Pixel 10 series is manufactured by TSMC on its 3nm node. The CPU is 33% more powerful than Tensor G4 while the GPU is 33% weaker than Tensor G4.
CPU:
• 1x Cortex-X4 @ 3.78GHz
• 5x Cortex-A725 @ 3.05GHz
• 2x Cortex-A520 @ 2.25GHz
Geekbench 6 scores:
Single-core: 2324
Multi-core: 6439
GPU: IMG PowerVR DXT-48 1536 with 1 core only and 6 CU.
Tensor G5 Vulkan: 3754
Tensor G4 Vulkan: 9370
Funfact: Pixel 10 Pro prototype with Tensor G5 had 2 cores and 12 compute units while the production one has 1 core and 6 CU. Thus, Google nerfed the GPU in prod as compared to proto
(I doubt if Pixel 10 series can run even PUBG properly lol)
Modem: Revised Samsung Exynos 5400
RAM: LPDDR5X
Storage: UFS 4.0 (256GB+, UFS 3.1 on 128GB)
Interestingly, 512GB storage model in the US and 1TB models worldwide features Zoned UFS. ZUFS is a new technology that improves the performance & endurance of traditional UFS. Its major benefit is increasing lifetime of mobile storage chips & SK Hynix estimates that, ZUFS can improve it upto 40%.
TPU: 60% more powerful
Latest Gemini Nano model runs 2.6x faster and 2x more efficiently for use cases like Pixel Screenshots and Recorder
New ISP (Image Signal Processor)
• Reduced blur in low-light videos
• 10-bit HDR by default for 1080p
• 4K/30fps video capture
However, NO 8K local support

This is a mistake. The test was at 400 Hz instead of 1100 Hz and the version was Vulkan 1.1 instead of Vulkan 1.4.
