Monero Is Being Selfishly Mined
As the Qubic atack goes into its second week, we're seeing evidence of 'selfish-mining'. This happens when an attacker has a sizable proportion of hashrate and rejects orphaned blocks that are not their own.
Here's a picture from Monero Consensus showing what that looks like on the blockchain. Notice many miners had accepted the organic 'green' chain, but was reject by the attackers.
This isn't as damaging as a 51% attack where an attacker could stop transactions and double spend cryptocurrency - but its still quite alarming.
