We interrupt the Silence for a short Public Service Announcement:

https://fightchatcontrol.eu/#contact-tool

The EU (still) wants to scan your private messages and photos...
The "Chat Control" proposal would mandate scanning of all private digital communications, including encrypted messages and photos. This threatens fundamental privacy rights and digital security for all EU citizens.

Every photo, every message, every file you send will be automatically scanned—without your consent or suspicion. This is not about catching criminals. It is mass surveillance imposed on all 450 million citizens of the European Union.
EU politicians exempt themselves from this surveillance under "professional secrecy" rules. They get privacy.
You and your family do not.

Demand fairness., the link above helps you write to all your representatives at once.

⚡️EU Breaks Its Own Law, Forcing Use of Google for Age Verification

The EU just took a major step forward in their Digital ID program with an age verification app now being tested in 5 countries.

It’s pitched as a “private” way to verify your age — but here’s the catch: it recommends Google attestation, meaning it won’t work on alternative or de-Googled phones.

By enforcing this, the app will only run on Google-approved devices, even though this method is less secure. This could force everyone in the EU to use Big Tech phones when using apps tied to the system.

How did the EU respond to backlash — and what does this mean for the future of de-Googled devices in the EU?

🚨 Police, military, and critical infrastructure radios worldwide are vulnerable — again.

Researchers just found new TETRA flaws letting attackers replay calls, brute-force “secure” comms, and inject fake voice/data — even on encrypted networks. No full fixes yet.

Here’s what’s at stake ↓ https://thehackernews.com/2025/08/new-tetra-radio-encryption-flaws-expose.html

Google made something terrible:

If you ever coded an android app, then in .idea/deploymenttargetselector.xml there will be your serial number of your phone connected to your android studio.

Now comes the best part: It's not included in .gitignore.

We have seen people's location getting leaked for using OEM android systems that comes with location tracker. And all you need to track the phone is the serial number.

Now look at github and you will be amazed at how much serial numbers are there on the internet.

I changed its package name + app name, added myself in the app and enabled GitHub workflows for it. You can choose to use workflows for future updates. The workflow one also fixes the package name detection of HMA.
