A colleague was able to spot that a long string of gibberish was base64 encoded json. I couldn't believe he was base64 decoding on the fly without tools, so I asked him how he did it. It turns out that everyone can spot base64 encoded json.

Starting from 0.3.7 and 0.3.8, microG developers disabled hardware attestations which are used by DroidGuard to return strong integrity. The purpose of this change was to achieve device integrity without using Tricky Store. However, latest changes from Google's side made this method useless since device integrity verdict now requires a locked bootloader.
If you try to install the modules listed in this guide to pass PI you will only get basic integrity. If your apps need more than basic integrity you need to switch to microG version 0.3.6, which has hardware attestations enabled.
If you want to stick with the latest microG version, you can instead install the official Google Play Store instead of microG Companion. (Using the MinMicroG flashable installer, package name “MinAddon-Playstore…”), However we won’t detail that process here at this time. (See the main group for details and proper versions to use, and the downsides of using official PS.)
Overview
microG can pass MEETS_BASIC_INTEGRITY verdict by default. However MEETS_DEVICE_INTEGRITY and MEETS_STRONG_INTEGRITY verdicts require several root modules to pass. Here is the list of modules you need to install on your device:
1. Zygisk: It's required to use PlayIntegrityFork. You can use either Zygisk Next or ReZygisk if you want an open source alternative. Magisk users also need to install one of these modules since Zygisk Next and ReZygisk are harder to detect by apps compared to Magisk's built-in Zygisk implementation.
2. PlayIntegrityFork: This module helps you pass Play Integrity checks by spoofing several device attributes.
3. Tricky Store: This module lets you achieve strong integrity by spoofing your bootloader status, security patch date, verified boot status, etc.
If you want to pass strong integrity, you need a "keybox" which we don't provide here. You can get one by doing some research.
Also, keep in mind that Tricky Store is a closed source module so we don't know what it's doing under the hood. If you want an open source alternative, you can use this fork.
4. Tricky Addon - Update Target List: This module provides a GUI to change several Tricky Store settings. It also lets you download a keybox from module developer's GitHub repository.
5. OPTIONAL: WebUI X Portable: This is not a module but an app. You need to install this if you're using Magisk so you can configure your modules.
Installation Process
* Open your root manager app and install all of the modules listed in the beginning of the note. Install WebUI X Portable app and give root permission if you're using Magisk. Restart your device.
* Open your root manager again and go to module list. Press the WebUI button on Tricky Store's card. Magisk users can simply press Tricky Store card on WebUI X app.
* Press the 3-line hamburger button on top-right corner of your screen and press Select All, Deselect Unnecessary and Set Valid Keybox buttons in order. Then press Set Security Patch button and press Auto.
* Go back to your root manager's module list and press the action button on the PlayIntegrityFork card.
* Now do a Play Integrity check to see if you can pass. There are different ways to do that. If you have Play Store installed, go to Play Store settings, spam click Play Store version to enable developer mode, go to General > Developer options, and click Check Integrity. If you do not have Play Store, you can use Play Integrity API Checker by Nikolas Spiridakis.
