Hiding secret codes in light protects against fake videos
A team of Cornell computer science researchers has developed a way to “watermark” light in videos, which they can use to detect if video is fake or has been manipulated, another potential tool in the fight against misinformation.

If you brick the device by relocking on a custom OS, "fastboot oem unlock" might not work and will complain about OEM unlocking not being checked in settings. But you can't boot into Settings to check it again because the device will not boot. Unlike OnePlus which has MSM tool, the EDL mode in motorola devices ("blankflash") only flashes the bootloader partition, but it cannot access the OS partitions (super, init_boot, etc.) so there is no way to recover except for a motherboard swap.
