Nothing Headphone 1 Review Out Before Official Launch
Source — Yogesh Brar

Even before the Nothing Headphone 1 is officially announced worldwide tipster Yogesh Brar has dropped a full review after just five days of use exposing everything from sound quality to build to battery life. Since the tweet thread has been taken down likely due to being threatened by legal action from the Nothing team you can still view the full thread at this link. Here's a TL;DR for those who are considering it:

Design & Build
• Solid build; retro aesthetic (cassette player/defibrillator vibe)
• Ample padding, however, earpads could be softer
• A bit heavy; causes fatigue after long use (329g weight)

Sound Quality

• 40mm drivers, tuned by KEF — gets quite loud
• Default "Balanced" EQ has decent bass, clean mids
• Wired mode has limitations
(only Volume & ANC controls work while play/pause will not work)

Features & Functionality
• Spatial Audio is mediocre
• Head tracking & dual device connection available
• On-head detection included

Battery Life: Not exceptional but acceptable
• 25 hrs on LDAC + ANC at 50% volume
• 45hrs on LDAC without ANC
• 65hrs on SBC/AAC codec

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC):
• Strong ANC in highest setting
• Effective at drowning out most frequencies
• Low, Mid, and Adaptive modes can be inconsistent

Controls: Feature a roller, paddle, button, and on/off switch, all on the right side.

Carry Case: Nice fabric feel, allows cup rotation for storage, but zipper quality is poor.

Verdict: Good for beginners and those seeking a quirky design. Serious audiophiles should consider Sennheiser and others. A good attempt by Nothing nevertheless.

James Corbett on Using AI in Independent Media
@takebackourtech

When Derrick Broze asked James Corbett if he uses AI, his first instinct was to say no—but then he reconsidered. He does use AI tools for things like podcast transcription and occasionally Adobe Firefly for creative work.

What really caught his attention? Watching YouTube's auto-captions improve drastically over time—an early sign of how fast this tech is evolving.

But he also had a strong message for independent creators:
🗣️ “Stop telling me about your conversations with AI. I could care less. ”

A powerful reminder to stay grounded—and critical—as we explore these tools.

Watch the full panel to hear both the concerns and the potential.

Turns out Xiaomi has used different display panels in the Poco F7 Chinese and global variant

The Poco F7 in China features the same flagship TCL Huaxing M9 panel used in Xiaomi 15 Ultra while the global Poco F7 has a Tianma panel ...... not even Samsung Display.

Additionally, the Poco F7 global variant is also dual sourced with visionox panels as well which Xiaomi ofcourse won't reveal offcially unless you check dumps/firmware.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra globally has Samsung Display.
