A "bricked" Redmi phone with recovery firmware likely means the device is stuck in a state where it can't boot into the normal operating system or even the recovery mode properly. This often occurs after failed flashing attempts, corrupted firmware, or issues with the bootloader. Fixing this usually involves using tools like Mi Flash to flash a stock ROM, potentially requiring a specific unbrick package and following detailed instructions carefully. [1, 2, 3]
Understanding the Problem:

• Bricked: This term refers to a device that is essentially unusable due to a serious software or firmware issue. It can't boot, or it's stuck in a loop.
• Recovery Firmware: This is a special mode on your phone that allows you to restore the device to its original factory settings. However, if the recovery firmware itself is corrupted or damaged, you might get stuck in recovery.
• Failed Flashing: Attempting to install custom ROMs, kernels, or even official updates can sometimes lead to a bricked device if the process is interrupted or fails. [2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9]

Possible Causes:

• Corrupted Firmware: During an update or flashing process, if the firmware gets corrupted (e.g., due to power loss or an interrupted process), it can cause the device to fail to boot.
• Incorrect Flashing: Flashing the wrong firmware (e.g., for a different model or version) can also lead to a bricked device.
• Bootloader Issues: The bootloader is a small program that starts the phone's operating system. If the bootloader is damaged or corrupted, it can prevent the phone from booting. [2, 5, 10, 11, 12, 13]

Troubleshooting and Solutions:

1. Try to Boot into Fastboot Mode: [14, 15]
• Power off the device.
• Press and hold the Volume Down + Power button simultaneously. [14, 14]
• If the Fastboot screen appears (usually with a picture of a rabbit and text like "Fastboot"), you might still have a chance to recover the device. [14, 16, 17]

2. Use Mi Flash Tool (if in Fastboot): [18, 19, 20, 21]
• Download the Mi Flash Tool and the correct stock ROM (fastboot ROM) for your device from Xiaomi's official website. [18, 18, 19, 19]
• Install the necessary Xiaomi USB drivers on your computer. [19, 19]
• Connect your phone to the computer in Fastboot mode. [19, 19]
• Follow the instructions provided with the Mi Flash Tool to flash the stock ROM. [19, 19]
• Make sure to select the "Clean all" option in the Mi Flash Tool to wipe the device completely during the process. [19, 22, 23]

3. Unbrick Packages (if available):
• Some users create modified ROMs (often called "unbrick packages") to help recover devices that are difficult to unbrick with the standard Mi Flash Tool. [21, 21, 24, 24]
• If available, download the appropriate unbrick package for your device. [21, 21]
• Follow the instructions provided with the unbrick package carefully. [21, 24]

4. Service Center:
• If you've tried all the above steps and are still unable to recover your device, it's recommended to contact a Xiaomi service center for further assistance. [5, 25]

Important Notes:

• Backup Data: Before attempting any flashing procedures, try to back up your data if possible. However, if the device is severely bricked, you may not be able to access your data. [26, 26]
• Risk: Flashing firmware involves some risk, so it's essential to follow instructions carefully and use the correct files for your specific device. [18, 18, 27, 27]
• Warranty: If your device is still under warranty, it's best to contact Xiaomi support or a service center before attempting any flashing procedures, as it may void the warranty. [5, 5]

AI responses may include mistakes.
If your Redmi phone is completely bricked — meaning it doesn't show anything when powered on, not even the Mi logo, bootloader, or fastboot mode — you’re most likely in Qualcomm EDL (Emergency Download) mode or need to get there. Here’s how to approach the unbricking process:

---

Checklist: What's the actual situation?

Please confirm if the phone:

Shows nothing when turned on? (No logo or fastboot?)

Doesn’t enter Fastboot Mode (Power + Volume Down)?

Doesn’t enter Recovery Mode (Power + Volume Up)?

Is detected as “Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008” on your PC?

If yes to most or all: you’re dealing with a hard-bricked Qualcomm device.

---

⚠️ Method: Unbrick via EDL Mode

🔧 STEP 1: Check EDL Detection

Plug your phone into your PC using USB.

Open Device Manager on Windows.

Under "Ports (COM & LPT)", check for:

Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COMxx)

If you see this — your phone is in EDL mode, which is good.

If not, you need to force EDL mode (see Step 2).

---

🛠️ STEP 2: Force EDL Mode (if needed)

If the phone doesn’t go into EDL by itself:

Option A: Test Point Method

Open the back cover of the phone (⚠️ breaks warranty, be careful).

Find the Test Points on the motherboard. Search Google for:

[your model] test point edl

Short the test points with a tweezer while connecting USB.

The phone should show up in your PC as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008.

Option B: EDL Cable

Use a special EDL cable that forces EDL mode via USB D+ shorting. These are cheap on Amazon/Flipkart.

---

💻 STEP 3: Flash Stock ROM via MiFlash Tool

1. Download MiFlash Tool:
https://xiaomiflashtool.com/

2. Download Fastboot ROM (not Recovery ROM) for your exact model:
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/

Make sure it’s a .tgz file, not .zip, and it contains images like prog_emmc_firehose.mbn, flash_all.bat etc.

3. Install Qualcomm drivers if not already present.

4. Run MiFlash, select the ROM folder, and choose:

flash_all.bat to clean everything.

Or flash_all_except_data_storage.bat to keep data.

5. Click “Flash”.

Wait 5–10 minutes. Device should auto-reboot if successful.

---

🚨 If Flashing Fails

Double-check if you downloaded the right fastboot ROM.

Ensure the firehose.mbn file is present (essential for EDL flashing).

Try different USB ports/cables or run MiFlash as Administrator.

Use older versions of MiFlash (some phones require v2017, etc.).

---

🧰 Alternatives (Advanced):

Use QFIL (Qualcomm Flash Image Loader) instead of MiFlash.

If the phone is Mi Account locked, you might face Anti-Rollback (ARB) issues or need authorized flashing.

---

📌 Summary:

Situation Fix

No bootloader, no fastboot, no logo Likely hard-bricked
Shows "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" Flash using MiFlash + Fastboot ROM
Doesn’t show in PC Use test points or EDL cable
Flash fails Try QFIL, or check for ARB lock

---

If you tell me the exact model (e.g., Redmi Note 8, Note 11, etc.), I can give you ROM links and test point diagram too.

👨‍💻AI Search Will Blast The Web

Own a website? Google’s new unassuming AI mode may just kill your organic search traffic.

If you use Google, you may have seen a quiet “AI Mode” tab next to your search options. What’s in that tab may kill your favorite websites.

In May, Google unveiled its end-to-end AI search experience. Ask a question and it scans dozens of sites in seconds, delivering a custom answer—without you ever clicking through.

With 90% of global search under Google’s control, we’re about to see another network blast: when a dominant platform auto-rolls a new feature that floods the system.

AI Overviews already caused a 30% drop in clicks to search results. Expect this to grow.

Search traffic will nosedive. The AI will echo “authoritative” sites. Others will copy it. And worst of all—people may stop thinking for themselves.

Nothing Headphone 1 Review Out Before Official Launch
Source — Yogesh Brar

Even before the Nothing Headphone 1 is officially announced worldwide tipster Yogesh Brar has dropped a full review after just five days of use exposing everything from sound quality to build to battery life. Since the tweet thread has been taken down likely due to being threatened by legal action from the Nothing team you can still view the full thread at this link. Here's a TL;DR for those who are considering it:

Design & Build
• Solid build; retro aesthetic (cassette player/defibrillator vibe)
• Ample padding, however, earpads could be softer
• A bit heavy; causes fatigue after long use (329g weight)

Sound Quality

• 40mm drivers, tuned by KEF — gets quite loud
• Default "Balanced" EQ has decent bass, clean mids
• Wired mode has limitations
(only Volume & ANC controls work while play/pause will not work)

Features & Functionality
• Spatial Audio is mediocre
• Head tracking & dual device connection available
• On-head detection included

Battery Life: Not exceptional but acceptable
• 25 hrs on LDAC + ANC at 50% volume
• 45hrs on LDAC without ANC
• 65hrs on SBC/AAC codec

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC):
• Strong ANC in highest setting
• Effective at drowning out most frequencies
• Low, Mid, and Adaptive modes can be inconsistent

Controls: Feature a roller, paddle, button, and on/off switch, all on the right side.

Carry Case: Nice fabric feel, allows cup rotation for storage, but zipper quality is poor.

Verdict: Good for beginners and those seeking a quirky design. Serious audiophiles should consider Sennheiser and others. A good attempt by Nothing nevertheless.
