UnShorten Link
Hello
Anyone uses this extension to skip url shortners?
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/unshort-link/
Is it safe to use in terms of data collection?
If not then any alternatives?
Currently use FastFoward but that needs data to be sent to server to be effective.

IT Software on Personal / Work MacBook
Hey all,
I was recommended to reach out to this community with this question. Might be helpful to mention that I’m pretty senior in this business, and my boss knows that I’ve used Mac my whole working life and was happy to buy a new MacBook when mine was experiencing some issues.
It was a gray area where it was purchased to be my working machine but I could use it for my regular laptop as well. I set it up from scratch so there was no weird software or anything like that.
We recently onboarded a 3rd party IT company to assist as our internal team didn’t have the bandwidth to take it on. They are requiring that our entire business install a program to allow them to better solve issues when they arise.
So I’m in a spot where I actually do trust my employer and they didn’t have any weird programs, but this IT business is in the drivers seat with the software.
My question is, can I still use part of my MacBook (maybe setting up 2 users?) personally, without the worry of the 3rd Party IT company accessing my personal files, or if it’s installed, is everything just out there and it’s worth no risk to use personally? I’ve floated the idea of two different users, with a personal user in my Apple account, and a secondary user with a new work Apple ID and the program downloaded there.
For reference, it’s called LTechAgent (?)

So I want to switch from GDrive (docs/photos/etc.) to something else.
But, I can't really find an affordable alternative.
Now privacy focused costs money. And sadly I can't buy a NAS atm, so need to find something that is online.
Are there some all in one (docs/sheets/photos/drive/etc) that doesn't cost one kidney a year?
Really interested in what you guys are using :)

Tice or location sharing app
I know most people in here would be opposed to location sharing with family but I need to use one and don't want to use something abusing our data like life360. Has anyone used TICE or would you recommend any other apps that allow you to share location with loved ones in a more privacy focused way?
Also have an app for android and ios.

Cannot upload images using hardened Firefox
I have an issue I could use some advice for. I'm using the latest version of Firefox, hardened in the standard ways + these extensions: UBlock Origin, Canvas Blocker, Multi-account Containers, and sometimes No Scrypt (but more often than not No Scrypt is disabled entirely because it breaks so much). In addition, I've maxed out the security and privacy settings in Firefox (including using first-party isolation) and have denied permissions for the camera, microphone, location, notifications, autoplay, and VR. In about:config, I made some changes to DRM-controlled content permissions. That's my entire setup. (I'm like 80% confident I didn't change anything else.)
Everything works fine, and I have no problem at all, except that I cannot upload photos using Firefox. When I try to upload something, all I get is an image that looks like multi-colored TV static. I would include an image, but I did in my first attempt to post this and the post got removed for including an image, so we'll have to stick with a verbal description...
Everywhere else I've seen people reporting a similar issue, they say that the issue is Firefox not displaying images on websites, but rather displaying that kind of distorted static. That is not my issue. Firefox displays images just fine. The problem is that I cannot, myself, upload any images.
I don't have occasion to upload images very often, so I've been ignoring this for about a year now. However, I saw another recent post on here of someone soliciting help with Firefox and decided I might as well try to sort it out. Thanks
Hopefully this attempt to post makes the cut.
