Privacy oriented rss feed that I can put my own links and turn them into a rss feed

Hello. I'm not looking for something too feature rich, I don't mind if it has a lot features but not looking for them right now.

I want to be able to copy a link and paste it into an app then be able to read is as a rss feed. If the app has a feature to categorize rss feeds I could enjoy it a bit but if not then that's ok.

Local CDN emulation

I've just become aware of CDN emulators like Decentraleyes and LocalCDN recently, and hope some of you can you can shed some light on the ins and outs of them.


Firefox: As far as I can tell, LocalDNS is the recommended option here. Forked from Decentraleyes, it adds more support and is more up-to-date.
Chromium: For Chromium-based browsers such as Brave it seems things are a bit less clear. LocalCDN doesn't cover as well on Chromium - but is it still recommended over Decentraleyes?
Mobile: Is there any way of achieving local CDN emulation on mobile? Either for iOS or Android?


Feel free to add other aspects if there's something I'm missing!

## My background

I have one main gmail/google account (used since 2011) that I use for internet accounts and youtube, and another account (used since 2019) that I use for personal human email. My new strategy for internet accounts is using SimpleLogin for email forwarding to a protonmail address, and a separate protonmail address for personal human email.

I have a facebook account that I've used since 2007 or 2008 and an Instagram account. I may keep the Instagram account since it's mainly for sharing dumb animal videos with my friends, and that seems within my comfort level, but feel free to share why this may be worse than I realize.

I have multiple reddit accounts and a Discord account.

## Plan and roadblocks (your input is requested)

1. I need to go through my gmail account and transfer every login (that I wish to keep) to SimpleLogin. This will probably be a slow process over weeks to months. An issue is that it seems risky to really put all my eggs into the SimpleLogin basket, since there's a possibility they may one day not exist. (To their credit, SimpleLogin has given reassuring answers to this common concern here and in their FAQ.)

A possible solution for this is that I could self-host SimpleLogin on a VPS. Self-hosting email is inherently risky for something as important as email, but they provide docker containers (I still would need to configure PostFix myself) and it seems possible that I could set it and forget it. I am curious what you all think about this.

2. I need to setup Prism for hosting all my photos that I download off Google and Facebook. Before that, I need to complete my 3-2-1 backup strategy with an off-site backup. Currently I just have a separate mirror drive that rsyncs weekly. What is your strategy for picture hosting?
3. How should I treat reddit? I assume that at a certain point, Reddit can confidently figure out who I am, even if I use an email alias and a VPN most of the time. I have thought about just making a new Reddit account every few months.
4. Discord spooks me the most. So much interpersonal conversation is happening on this unsecure platform. Should I ditch it?

Streaming on Twitch.tv

Hello,

I want to stream on Twitch but I want to be as private as possible (which might be next to impossible). I will use OBS and a V*N. My question is where I can get good stream overlays (donations, chat, etc.) which will keep my data as private as possible. I know streamlabs and streamelements but they are bad privacy wide. What would you suggest? Thanks in advance!

Nexcloud on hosted

Hello, So I recently came across some posts using nextcloud. But the problem is that I don't want and have no idea how to host a nextcloud instance on my home. I saw several posts about hetzner nextcloud and it's pretty cheap, about 5€ for 1TB, what's the catch??? I've sent and email about encryptions and that and their answer was " Even if you do not encrypt the files on your Nextcloud instance we still cannot access the webinterface of your Nextcloud as we do not know the login credentials of your accounts. " .

My problem relays on privacy, I'm using cryptomator, but for photos is not good, since there is no miniatures.

Can you override/ flash an Alexa Echo dot?

I have not found anything so far but is there a way to delete the Alexa software on an Echo Dot and install Mycroft or something more privacy focused on it?
I tried to use mycroft on a Pi but had problems with the voice and audio.

How can I stop Facebook from adding text to links?

I want to copy the Facebook links; however, Facebook adds useless text to them.

Privacy Badger could clean the links, but uBlock Origin could not. However, due to the recommendations I uninstalled Privacy Badger and only stayed with uBO.

Is there a list that I can add to uBlock Origin for this purpose? Or do I just need to reinstall Privacy Badger?

I'm subscribed to the Actually Legitimate URL Shortener Tool and ClearURLs for uBo lists.

Email/Domain separation strategy

I'm looking into buying a domain for my email communication because I could be able to not lose my addresses if I want to switch providers and to have better compartmentalization. I've started by setting my email use cases into four main categories:

1 - Family/Friends

2 - Government/Banking/Medical

3 - Work/Business

4 - Job hunting

But now I'm struggling to decide which could be the best approach. At the very least, I want my personal and work emails completely separated, so I first thought about just using two domains: One for personal (the first two categories) and another one for work (the last two).

But I'm not sure if that would provide enough compartmentalization, considering how these domains would become very public information due to my family and friends having very poor privacy and security practices, in the case of my personal domain, and having to put an email address in resumes/LinkedIn profile/job application forms in case of the work domain; And I'm not sure if all of that would be a problem considering that the domain used for the family/friends address would be the same used for government/banks/important stuff, and the domain used for the job hunting address would be the same used for the work address, so correlating them wouldn't be difficult. The best way to compartmentalize all of that of course would be to have a separate domain for each category, but I'm not sure if that would be overkill (and it would surely be expensive).

And I also started wondering if it would be fine to have the domains use the same name, but different TLDs, or if I should make them entirely different from one another, or if I should use my name for the personal domain. Should I even have just one static job hunting email for starters?

So, yeah... I think it's very evident that I'm kinda confused on what should I do. Do you have any suggestions?

i followed the firefox configuration now i cant save images
