34 year old dissident Sam MELIA was found guilty of plastering stickers that said hateful messages such as "Reject White Guilt," "Love your Nation," and "White Lives Matter."

MELIA argued in his defense that he was trying to spark a "conversation" about the anti-White gangs of rapists in the streets of his homeland. It took less than a day for a jury of his peers to find MELIA guilty.

Gregory DAVIS, key "researcher" at the militant activist group Hope Not Hate chimed in to say: "We welcome Sam Melia’s conviction. Melia has a long history in many far-right groups, including the now-banned Nazi terror group National Action, the anti-Muslim For Britain party and most recently playing a leading role in fascist group, Patriotic Alternative."

DAVIS continued: "Melia’s campaign was intended to stir up hate against ethnic minorities, while allowing himself and other activists to remain anonymous and avoid any consequences. As improbable as it may sound to some, MELIA faces a maximum sentence of 21 YEARS (if served consecutively) for putting up stickers. I believe Mr Bond still has 8 years remaining of his prison stint over his musical parodies.

What can we take away from this? MELIA didn't have an OPSEC "slip-up" that led to his indictment. Hope Not Hate reported that MELIA "insisted on giving interviews and posting photos that revealed a wealth of personal information about himself and his family members." This is why we preach privacy and security practices. Contrary to what many of our critics believe, we don't believe rotting in a prison cell is a productive use of time.

That said, rulings like this make me wonder what these people are thinking. Consider that arson generally has a maximum sentence less than two fifths of what MELIA potentially faces (and generally has a low conviction rate). It makes me ill to think that dissidents may see this egregious sentencing, and instead of being deterred and coerced into silence, they contemplate doing something a little more permanent than putting up stickies. I get the chills just thinking about it. We sure don't condone it.
