The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Bill, 2024

Rajya Sabha Passes "The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Bill, 2024" to curb paper leaks, malpractices as well as organised malpractices in recruitment examinations like UPSC, SSC etc and entrance tests such as NEET, JEE and CUET.

Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh says "the Public Exams Bill, which is possibly the First of its kind in the history of India's Parliament, is dedicated to the youth of India".

The Bill will ensure more transparency and time-bound selection process and provide level-playing field; Government will encourage the States to adopt the Bill, says Dr Jitendra Singh.

A patient has become the First to be cured using India's CAR-T cell therapy, a Made in India cancer treatment, which was recently approved for commercial use by India's apex drug regulator. This therapy genetically engineers a cancer patient's T-cells. The therapy is now available in over 30 hospitals in more than 10 cities in India. Patients aged above 15, who are suffering from B-cell cancers are eligible for treatment.
