Gas prices, groceries, eggs are low—stocks have remained good, our allies and adversaries are more focused on making a deal than breaking off from us—virtually every panic about tariffs has been wrong, as usual.

Despite signing the most executive orders in 100 days, President Trump has also signed the fewest bills in that same period. Congress lags behind his pace and efforts significantly, as Republicans tend to do.

Silver lining however is that there is an attempt to pass a 'big beautiful bill' which will put forward several important laws at once—this includes funding for 10,000 ICE agents and 100,000 ICE beds to add an additional 1 million deportations a year. It is close to passing, if only a few straggling politicians would drop their pride or malice and let it go.
