Trump is growing the local and state law enforcement role in immigration to levels never seen before.

Police agreements with ICE through the 287(g) program have grown by over 1470%, and DHS still has billions in funds to expand America's largest deportation machine.

Immigration courts under Trump are issuing a record number of removal orders at a record pace, growing the pool of deportable aliens. In June we saw the highest volume of cases closed and the highest amount of removal orders.

Courts went from a handful of cases across days to over a hundred per day, with the lead time dropping by months.

The practice of mega hearings is leading to larger dockets and faster cases than ever, while asylum granted remains near zero and overstays are now a target of significant fines or arrest by ICE.

Eva Saltzman and Elizabeth Crites, judges for the Chicago immigration court, have been fired for failing to keep up with the ongoing mass deportations push. The Chicago immigration court in recent months has become one of the highest outputs of removal orders in America.

Judge Brenda O'Malley has reportedly been terminated, one of the hundreds of immigration judges fired or let go or resigned since Trump took office.

Since July, ICE has been obtaining prisons to hold aliens and updating existing contracts to reduce state interference, allowing detention to expand with less resistance, thereby enabling more efficient deportations.

ICE is expanding its mass detention apparatus to boost the record arrest rate it achieved in June and July.

DHS has signed contracts to reopen old prisons, upgrade existing facilities and purchase new bedspace that will help bypass sanctuary restrictions.

The State Dept is moving to make permanent a visa bond program that requires posting a bond up to $20,000 for business and tourist visas, starting with 50 countries.

This is the latest move by the Trump admin to restrict legal immigration and reduce visa overstays.

ICE carried out another record month in July, passing the record set in June. ICE averaged 1,500 arrests a day and booked over 46,000 aliens, per CBS, the new best.

A former Obama DHS official says it is clear the Trump admin is enforcing mass deportations more than ever. There are many other agencies, police agreements and non-ICE deportations going on too.

Immigration courts are scheduling mega migrant hearings every day, then issuing record levels of removal orders, whether they appear or not.

This has created an accelerated mass deportation machine, with record high arrests, as more aliens become targets of ICE and its partners. The quiet, colossal surge in ICE arrests in June and July, both of which are the agency's highest so far, coincides with the continued spike in removal orders across the country. This is effectively remigration in action for the first time, funneling foreigners toward deportation or departure.

"Economic activity in the manufacturing sector expanded in July for the seventh consecutive month... The Manufacturing PMI registered 55.6 percent in July, 2.3 percentage points above the June figure and the highest reading since May 2022."

Signs of economic revival are showing in U.S. manufacturing, which is a slow but strong process.

The DOJ is filing to revoke the citizenship of 24 more individuals, bringing us to at least 88 public cases so far. (I have seen over 100 announced, up to 110 or more, but the data is difficult to track fully.)

Between 1990-2017, the average was just 11 filings per year, making this the largest denaturalization effort as Trump sets a precedent for more frequent attempts.

Update: the DOJ has filed 25 in the past week and confirms that 123 civil cases have been filed so far.

The latest round of denaturalization action brings us to at least 123 cases filed in 18 months.

For context, only 305 were filed from 1990 to 2017: that's 27 years. Fewer than 150 were successful from 1967 to 2017: 50 whole years. What we have is historic; President Trump is leading the largest denaturalization effort ever, so far. Are the numbers high enough? No. Will it get higher? Yes! Most importantly, the bar is being pushed and precedent is being set.

Extra emphasis here: There were fewer than 150 successful denaturalizations in 50 years. Only 11 were even filed per year from 1990 to 2017, before the Trump-era.

The DOJ putting out 123 cases in 18 months is a massive escalation. The reason it isn't thousands is due to the constraints of the existing law. In 1967, 1980 and 2017, SCOTUS ruled to restrict denaturalization authority, and no prior admin has tried to undo that. Trump I and Trump II are trying to make it common.

Under Trump III and Trump IV, we can and should push to make denaturalization an administrative process. Make it swift, easy and expansive.

Stephen Miller's friend Rep. Andy Ogles — a MAGA man in Congress — has introduced a bill for that.

Senator Eric Schmitt, a certified patriot and Trump supporter, has also introduced a bill to expand and expedite the process of denaturalization. We simply need more Republicans in office to pass these laws.

Naturalization is falling amid stricter rules and higher scrutiny in 2026. Fewer people are getting citizenship, and the process is getting stricter.

In Chicago, new naturalizations have dropped by over 80%, going from thousands a month before to just hundreds a month this year.

For more than a year, the Trump admin has maintained the lowest refugee levels in U.S. history.
