287(g) agreement expansion between January 29th, 2025 to April 9th, 2026, agreements between police and ICE to arrest, identify and remove aliens by granting enforcement authority. The largest growth is in Task Force Models, which lets law enforcement act as de facto ICE agents.

This program has existed since 1996, yet it wasn't until 2025 anyone truly began to use it. From 140 to 1,400 in 1 year, and we are now past 1,640 agreements. Mass Deportations are made of these, and it is local political power that can reinforce it.
