Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida has pushed back against the sheriffs trying to soften mass deportations, telling them the policy of Trump is to deport them all and Florida should not break from that deportation promise.

Last year the Trump Admin introduced rules to detain parents and revived a rule to detain entire families. Some illegal aliens have children who cannot be easily deported, so the Guardian reports that the Trump admin has been deporting thousands of migrant parents separately to prevent them from using a lawyer or family ties to delay deportation.

A new bill to deport noncitizens and legal immigrants if they are guilty, suspected or once convicted of fraud has passed the House. Democrats tried to kill it, but the Republicans saved it. This bill heads to the Senate; it would broaden the net of who is readily removable by ICE, DHS.

CATO review says Trump's immigration restriction is blocking over 2 million immigration applications already, including permits and visas. Excellent.

Under President Trump's admin, 90% of all immigration—applicants and asylees—from Africa is being blocked.

So far the main immigrants from Africa taken have been White South Africans, the only refugees let in by Trump.

In addition to previous deals announced, Japan is pledging $40 billion for nuclear power plants in Alabama and Tennessee, $30 billion in gas facilities for Texas and Pennsylvania. Japan additionally signaled a promise to distance its mineral needs away from China, get closer to America.
