USCIS is shortening the max validity period of most migrant statuses; that is to include refugees, H-1Bs, asylees, TPS, spouses, and other legal migration types which have an extension option. The period is cut shorter, meaning aliens will have to renew and be reviewed by USCIS more frequently.

Heeding Trump's pressure the Texas GOP has secured a redder congressional map; whatever discontent we have with the GOP itself, of which there is plenty, the expansion of Republican representation equals a recession in Democrat presence.
